This report is a sworn affidavit by Dave Gaubatz.  The research is at the request of  concerned citizens in America.

The research I conduct is conducted without bias and done in a professional and respectful manner.  I provide the exact truth I observe in my interactions at the desired location/s, based on firsthand evidence.  

I am prepared to testify in court as to my findings and the analysis I provide is based on over 45 years of working in the Middle East, interviewing former Islamic terrorists, firsthand training by a former senior leader of Jammeat Al Islamiyah, State Department trained Arabic linguist, conducting firsthand research in over 425 U.S. mosques, and more in the throughout the Middle East, and being the 1^st U.S. Civilian federal agent to enter Iraq at the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003).  In addition I have conducted numerous undercover missions while working for the U.S. Government.

Note:  The following 20 points are for credibility purposes to validate the counter-terrorism research I conducted at the EPIC  mosque in Plano, TX, during the period 2-3 May 2025.

1. Background:  I was a U.S. Federal Agent with a Top Secret/SCI clearance for approx.. 15.5 years.  This was during the time 1988 – 2003.

2. In addition to my Top Secret/SCI clearance I was also briefed into many programs known to the public as “Black Projects”.  These projects pertained essentially to counter-terrorism and counter-intelligence operations.  These cases were U.S. National Security matters.

3. On 11 Sep 2001, I was assigned as an (1811) civilian Federal Agent in Albuquerque, NM.  I had primarily been assigned the duties of ‘Technology Protection’ in regards to our countries highest classification of technologies used to defend our country.

4. After the attack on our country, 11 Sep 2001, I was assigned to the Foreign Service Institute (U.S. State Dept./Arlington, Va.  My duties were to train full time in Arabic and counter-terrorism issues.  The Arabic language course was one year.  During this time period I was sent to Jordan for a three-week immersion program to better understand the Arabic language, the culture, and Islam.

5. In Jan 2003, before Operation Iraqi Freedom, I was deployed as a civilian Federal Agent to ArAr Air Base, Saudi Arabia (next to Iraqi border).  My full time duties were to collect intelligence involving potential attacks against U.S. Armed Forces personnel and to conduct counter-espionage against Saudi Arabian government/military, Iraqi, and other people in the ArAr area.  I led several counter-terrorism/counter-intelligence expeditions.

6. From Apr – Jul 2003, I was assigned inside Nasiriyah, Baghdad, Basrah, and other cities in Iraq, and my primary duties were counter-terrorism and counter-intelligence.

7. While in Iraq I interviewed numerous Iraqis and Iranians in regard to terrorism acts against the U.S., the Islamic ideology pertaining to violent Jihadists activity, and the methodology of Islamic terrorists.

8. While in Iraq I had the opportunity to discuss the training and tactics used by Islamic terrorist leaders and their supporters.  I had the opportunity to review thousands of pieces of Islamic material pertaining on tactics to attack U.S. interests and the overthrow of America.

9. I have received training on the Islamic ideology/tactics from people who were former members of Islamic terrorist groups and from Muslims who were investigating groups themselves.  These people included military and police officers who served under Saddam Hussein (former Iraqi President).

10. Since returning from Iraq in 2003, I have trained over 3000 U.S. law enforcement officers in Arabic and counter-terrorism involving Islamic terrorist groups and their supporters.

11. I have discussed Islamic issues with over 600 Imams and Islamic leaders.

12. I have listened to over 2000 hours of lectures by Islamic scholars/leaders and more than 2000 different publications, books, and brochures by Islamic scholars.

14. In 2005, I hired a senior Council on American Islamic Relations leader to provide me training on the operation of this Islamic organization.  This was an undercover operation directed toward CAIR.

15. I have personally conducted first hand research at over 400 Islamic Centers/Mosques in America and over 100 outside of America.  The research has included speaking with the leaders, worshippers, and reviewing the materials they use to educate their worshippers (men, women, and children.

16. I have monitored several overseas based Islamic terrorist group internet sites.

17. I have received numerous U.S. Government awards pertaining to my work in protecting our country, our technology, and U.S. Armed Forces personnel.

18. I have worked jointly in counter-terrorism research and investigations with Muslims and non-Muslims.

20.   At the direction of a former Under Secretary of Defense for President Ronald Reagan I placed 5 undercover researchers inside a Muslim Brotherhood organization (CAIR) operating inside America.  The result was uncovering over 12,000 documents and 300 hours of audio/video relating to criminal terrorism against America.

OBJECTIVES:  Visit the EPIC Center and attempt to determine the ideology (Islamic school of thought), leadership, Shariah compliance, and overall threat level to the local community and America.

ANALYSIS:  Based on my 45 plus years of studying Islamic issues both inside America and throughout the world, I opine the EPIC Center in Plano, TX is extremely dangerous to the local community, America, and to Israel.   This includes the highly probable threat to Christians, Jews, and Muslims who are not abiding to Islamic Shariah law 100% as the leaders of the EPIC Center practice.

I opine there is a grave threat to innocent Muslim girls (under 18) who live in the community and/or attend worship services at the EPIC mosque. The EPIC Center leadersghip advocate worshipers to act and behave in the same manner as Prophet Mohammed.  Mohammed married a six year old child and encouraged Myuslim men to do the same.

My inside research revealed the EPIC mosque is a false front operating as a moderate form of Islam, but in actuality the EPIC mosque is a Salafist/Wahhabi center, with a strong adherence to the Hanbali school of thought.  The mosque leadership puts on a front of being moderate by publicly denouncing Salafism/Wahhabi, allowing women to enter through the front doors, and through media sources proclaiming to be open to all.  Behind the scenes the mosque has an abundance of violent material used by Salafist/Wahhabi Muslims throughout the world.  The materials will be listed below.  Islamic terror groups use the same materials inside the EPIC Center.  Islamic bookstores EPIC members recommended also have in abundance violent Jihadist material.

As examples ISIS, Al Qaeda, and Hamas are considered Salafist/Wahhabi.

Salafism/Wahhabi defined:  Salafism is a conservative movement within Sunni Islam that emphasizes returning to the practices of early Islam.   Salafists believe Islam should be practiced as it was in the time of Prophet Mohammed and his immediate followers.

The reason why Salafist/Wahhabi is extremely dangerous is there is no room for individual interpretation of what is in the Quran or within the Hadith (sayings and doings of Prophet Mohammed).  For instance Mohammed married a 6 year old child and advocated for other Muslim men to do the same.  Based on this since Moahmmed did this, Muslims in 2025 should also do it.  This applies to killings of Christians, Jews, slavery, and killing of homosexuals (numerous other topics as well).

The manuals in the prayer room included volumes from Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, and Fiqh Ul Sunnah.  Within these manuals Islamic scholars discuss the “sayings and doings” (HADITH) of Prophet Mohammed.  The manuals inform Muslims on how to interpret the Hadith from 1450 plus years ago (during the life of Mohammed) into how to use Mohammed's laws today in their life's.  For instance Mohammed taught Muslims during his life to use weapons of their times such as bows and arrows.  The Hadith of Tafsir Ibn Kathir inform Muslims that they should now use the same weapons as their enemies such as tanks and bombs.

BULLET STATEMENTS:

1. Yasir Qadhi is the EPIC Center “Residential Scholar” and has his own office near the entrance of the mosque.  His parents are from Pakistan and he was born in Texas.  He studied at Saudi Arabian universities, as well as Yale, TX.  Qadhi has a close relationship with Imam Siraj Wahhaj (Brooklyn, NY, Imam and founder of MANA/Muslim Association of North America).  My years of research on Wahhaj generates my professional opinion that Wahhaj is the primary leader of the Sunni movement in America, advocates Islamic terrorism against America, Israel, and the overthrow of the U.S. Government.  I have listened to over a hundred hours of his lectures to Muslims, and most advocate violence and a hatred of America.  In addition Qadhi has a close relationship with CAIR (Council American Islamic Relations).  As revealed in my book (Muslim Mafia) CAIR is the head of the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas in America.  Qadhi is a danger to America because of his association with the EPIC Center, his being a go to for Muslim worshipers, to include children, for them to be guided toward an ideology that advocates killing Christians, Jews, and Muslims who do not adhere to 100% of Shariah values. 1. On 2 May 2025, an Islamic leader (Bukhari) at EPIC informed me that since I was a Muslim I could purchase a home on EPIC property, but my non Muslim relatives could not until they accepted Islam.
2. I observed men and women using the front entrance of the mosque and mingling in the lobby adjacent to the men's prayer area.  Muslim women work in the front office of the EPIC Center.  The men have their own prayer area on the main floor and the women must pray in an upstairs area that overlooks the men's area.
3. A Muslim female provided me several Islamic books and brochures.  They are listed below.  The material is typical interfaith and Dawah (missionary) material which portray Islam in a peaceful manner.  
4. While in the EPIC Center men's prayer room I observed hundreds of Islamic books on bookshelves.  The books are available for the men and boys to study prior to and after prayers.  They are not for release outside of the prayer room.  I reviewed each bookshelf and determined the material is typical of the Sunni/Salafist/Wahhabi ideology and beliefs. My training has included being taught firsthand by a former Islamic PHD level terrorist belonging to Jammeat Islamia (aligned with Al Qaeda).  The books/manuals in the EPIC Center are used by Islamic terror groups such as ISIS, Hamas, and Al Qaeda.

         9:  During my visit I took numerous photographs of the EPIC Center and the  homes on their property.  All photographs have been provided under separate cover to the person requesting the research.

          10:  I was informed the homes belonging to the EPIC Center near the mosque range between 1 and 1.5 million.

          11:  Worshipers at the EPIC Center referred me to 3 Islamic bookstores in the Dallas, TX area.  Only 1 was open with material. Takbeir Books and More, 888 S. Greenville #116, Richardson, TX, 75081.  More information below.

           12:  There were approximately 1500 men and 250 women at the 1345 Friday Jummah prayer and I was informed that approx. the same number at the 1545 Friday Jummah prayer.  This number includes children.

            13:  There is an Islamic school at the mosque and I was informed it grades are from 1^st to 8^th.

            14:  The rating I give for Shariah complaince based on my observations from 1 -  10 (10 being most compliant), I would rate it as 9 plus.

            15:  The EPIC Center has armed security inside and outside the mosque and utilize Plano police officers for traffic control.

My “Background Cover Story” for this operation was to be a retired man, age 66, and currently residing in Virginia, but with plans to move to Plano in the near future.  I had accepted (pseudo) Islam 2 years prior.

NOTE:  The founder of whyislam.org is a former Christian from Texas turned Islamic scholar, Sheikh YUSEF ESTES.  It should be noted that when I went through a pseudo conversion to Islam in 2007, at the Dar Al Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, VA, Estes was my primary witness.  Estes is a Salafist/Wahhabi and speaks at numerous Sunni Salafist events across America.  He has a close relationship with CAIR.

Books obtained from Tafbeir Islamic bookstore: (Recommended bookstore by worshipers at EPIC Center.

1:  “Jihad in the Quran and Sunnah” By: Sheikh Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin Humaid.  This book is published and distributed in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.  I have found this violent Jihad book in numerous Sunni Salafist mosques throughout America.

From book: “Jihad is a great deed indeed and there is no deed whose reward or blessing is as that of it, and for this reason, it is the best thing that one can volunteer for it”.

2:  “Muwatta Imam Malik” Published in Pakistan. This book discusses the Hadith (sayings and doings of Prophet Mohammed.  There are 15 pages dedicated to physical Jihad fighting.

“By the Lord who holds my life, I desired to fight in the cause of the Lord and be killed, to be rendered back to life only to be killed again, again to be rendered back to life and killed”

 CONCLUSION:  It is again my professional opinion based on 45 plus years of conducting firsthand Islamic research in  numerous Islamic dominated countries, that the EPIC Center in Plano, TX, is a front for an Islamic terrorist sleeper cell organization.  The EPIC center has numerous pieces of material on physical Jihad.  The world has been brainwashed into be;eiving it is the norm for a so called religion (Islam) having the authority to man and arm their worshipers into a fighting army.  There is no reason or authority for any groups  belonging to an ideology to establish a formal fighting military to attack their enemies worldwide which include Christians, Jews, and even Muslims who go against their Shariah beliefs.

RECOMMENDATION:  For decades their has been an abundance of evidence revealing Islam is more of a political, economic, and military ideology than a religion and the 3500 mosques in America and their respective Islamic organizations such as CAIR are engaged in conspiracies to overthrow the U.S. Government through physical Jihad.

There is ample evidence to remove the non profit tax status of the EPIC Center and the other 3500 mosques and CAIR.

Innocent civilians throughout the world and specifically in America should demand the media report on the criminal actions of Islamic enterprises and demand their politicians initiate criminal and civil actions against them.
