Good evening and welcome to the Worldview Report.

Vice President Kamala Harris sided Wednesday with dockworkers who launched a massive strike this week that threatens to cripple the economy.

Harris said in a post to X:

“This strike is about fairness. Foreign-owned shipping companies have made record profits and executive compensation has grown. The Longshoremen, who play a vital role transporting essential goods across America, deserve a fair share of these record profits.”

Harris also threw a barb at her opponent, accusing former President Donald Trump of making “empty promises” to workers and promising that she will “have workers’ backs” and fight for an “opportunity economy.”

The dockworkers union has donated more than $1.6 million to Democrats under union president Harold Daggett, who threatened to “cripple” the economy if dockworkers did not get the contract they wanted.

Daggett endorsed Joe Biden, but began lashing out at the White House as the strike drew near. But relations appear to be warming between the union and the administration on several fronts. Also on Wednesday, Daggett thanked Acting Labor Secretary Julie Su for speaking out in support of the striking dock workers.

Su issued a statement slamming port owners for refusing “to put an offer on the table that reflects workers’ sacrifice and contributions to their employer’s profits” as “their CEOs bring in millions of dollars in compensation per year.”

Daggett made $728,000 last year as union president, plus another $173,000 as president emeritus of the New Jersey local, POLITICO reported.

The strike snarls supply chains and is likely to cause delays or even shortages of products like coffee, bananas, cars, clothing, and Christmas decorations. The union rejected a last-minute deal from port ownership which offered the union a nearly 50% wage raise. The union had demanded higher wages and zero port automation.

According to one estimate from JP Morgan, every day the strike continues costs the U.S. economy between $3.8 billion to $4.5 billion a day. The strike comes at a particularly difficult time when many Americans in Eastern states are trying to resupply and rebuild after the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene

Joe Biden could pause the strike for 80 days under the Taft-Hartley Act, but he has indicated he has no intention of doing so. Some have speculated that the president is unwilling to go out of his way to help Harris after Democrats ousted him from the presidential ticket, while others have wondered if the administration is simply courting the union vote.

Defense Express reports that Russian military sources claimed they have used the world’s largest non-nuclear bomb on the Ukrainian city of Vovchansk.

According to Russian media, the bomb is believed to be the ODAB-9000 vacuum bomb, also referred to as the Father of Kuzka or the Father of all bombs.

This weapon is reportedly the most powerful non-nuclear munition in the world, with an explosive power equivalent to 44,000 kilograms of TNT.

The ODAB-9000 is a thermobaric weapon, meaning it utilizes oxygen from the surrounding air to generate an intense explosion and blast wave, causing widespread destruction over a large area. If true, this would be the first recorded use of the ODAB-9000 in combat.

However, conflicting reports suggest that the bomb dropped on Ukraine may have been the smaller ODAB-1500 thermobaric bomb, which followed a failed Russian infantry assault. While both bombs are highly destructive, the ODAB-1500 has a significantly lower yield compared to the ODAB-9000.

Here’s a look at the bomb being dropped.

Red State reports that one of the more interesting bits of Tuesday's vice presidential debate between JD Vance and Tim Walz was the expression and body language displayed by the candidates.

Ward Clark, writing for Red State, commented that:

“...Vance dominated; he was cool, confident, and whimsical at times - the little sideways glances into the camera with a slight smirk while Walz was speaking were priceless, and that's how you knew he was waiting to pounce. On the other hand, when Walz opened the debate he was clearly nervous; his brows perpetually raised, staring at the moderators and into the camera with wide-open hoptoad eyes, he presenting a picture of anything but confidence and command.”

Dr. Carole Lieberman, M.D. agrees. She is a body language expert, and she gave her analysis of the debate to Fox News Digital. On JD Vance's performance, Lieberman reports:

“What JD Vance had that made him most likable and most trusted was that he was authentic… you could just say it in one word. JD Vance was authentic. He did big hand movements and so on, but they were just to explain what he was saying.”

Liebermann added:

"JD Vance came across as being very steady, like you can kind of see him as a captain of the ship, and he wasn't too stiff, but you knew what you were going to get. Each time he seemed sure of himself… And so you felt like you would be safe with him. He gave an air of stability.”

Tim Walz, on the other hand, didn't come off so well.

Liebermann said:

"With Tim Walz, he was all over the place. He was very nervous, and he also had body language signs of lying. His body language was discordant with what he was saying. It was like too much, it made you feel exhausted and scared.”

Then there was this awkward exchange in which Walz admitted to being a “knucklehead.”

A former Iranian president says Iran’s intelligence agencies are completely infiltrated by Israeli Mossad agents.

According to World Israel News, an Iranian elite intelligence unit aimed at thwarting Mossad activity was thoroughly infiltrated by the Mossad, said former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a bombshell interview with CNN Turkey on Monday.

Ahmadinejad described an Iranian regime that has become so infiltrated with Israeli spies that top officials are paralyzed by fear of being assassinated.

He told the new outlet:

“Israel can even threaten the safety of (Supreme Leader) Khamenei with its intelligence network operating in Iran through the Mossad. Let me give an example from eight years ago to understand the kind of power Israel has achieved within Iran through the Mossad.”

He added that:

“Israel organizes complex operations inside Iran. They can easily obtain very important information. Iranian authorities are still silent about this situation. Mossad had such a large network of agents in Iran, both on the streets and within the government, that they could have assassinated anyone they wanted to.”

Ahmadinejad added that the Iranian in charge of the country’s anti-Mossad unit “was an Israeli agent.”

The former president also said that this individual, along with 20 others in the unit, were responsible for the theft of classified documents regarding Iran’s nuclear program, which were presented to the United Nations by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in 2018.

Those double agents also were responsible for the assassination of several Iranian nuclear scientists, then fled the country.

“The Mossad has infiltrated various state units in Iran over the past 10 years. All government officials now need to fear for their lives,” former Iranian foreign minister Ali Younesi said in a 2022 interview.

“Things have gotten to a point where they have started openly threatening government officials. As someone who worked in the intelligence ministry, the situation pains me.”

An investigation is underway after floodwaters from Hurricane Helene left two dead and four missing at a plastics factory in rural Tennessee — and surviving workers at the plant say they were told to keep working until it was too late.

As heavy rains from Helene swept across the Southeast on Friday, waters from the Nolichucky River in Erwin, Tenn., began to rise, rushing across the interstate and into the parking lot at Impact Plastics, reaching the doors of the plant and knocking out the power.

The floodwaters swept away 11 employees as they were trying to leave. Among the five who were rescued was Jacob Ingram, who later posted videos to Facebook of himself and four others clinging to the back of a semi truck. They were eventually plucked from the floodwaters by a National Guard helicopter.

Impact Plastics is located about a mile from Unicoi County Hospital, the site of a dramatic helicopter rescue of 54 staff and patients stranded on the roof that same day.

“We are devastated by the tragic loss of great employees,” Impact Plastics founder Gerald O’Connor said in a statement issued by the company Monday. “Those who are missing or deceased, and their families, are in our thoughts and prayers.”

Impact Plastics said that the company “continued to monitor weather conditions" on Friday and that managers dismissed employees “when water began to cover the parking lot and the adjacent service road, and the plant lost power. At no time were employees told that they would be fired if they left the facility.”

Ingram and other survivors say the company waited too long to evacuate.

Ingram told the Knoxville News Sentinel:

“They should’ve evacuated when we got the flash flood warnings, and when they saw the parking lot. We asked them if we should evacuate, and they told us not yet, it wasn’t bad enough. And by the time it was bad enough, it was too late.”

Zinna Adkins, another employee, recalled in an interview with local news station WJHL-TV:

“We were all talking to the supervisors and telling everybody, ‘Look, we don’t need to be here. Our phone alerts were saying we need to flee the area. And they never said anything about it. And supervisors didn’t tell us that we could go.”

Robert Jarvis told WCYB-TV:

“When they told us we could leave, it was just too late. There was no way out.”

The Daily Sceptic reports that a German “Citizens Council” has submitted recommendations to the German Ministry of the Interior calling, among other things, for the potential criminalization of “disinformation”. The council was assembled by the Bertelsmann Foundation, Germany’s most influential public policy think-tank, in partnership with the Ministry of the Interior itself, and it was tasked with formulating recommendations on how best to combat “disinformation”.

The project as a whole, known as “Forum Against Fakes”, included both a council of 120 German citizens, selected to supposedly represent the diversity of German society, and an online survey. The “Citizens Report”, which was handed over to Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser on September 12. It includes a recommendation titled “Consideration of criminal prosecution and/or penalizing of the dissemination of disinformation.”

The text (p.37) reads:

“The German Government should consider whether criminal prosecution or other types of penalties are possible based on the definition of disinformation.”

The “justification” of the proposed measure continues:

“Preserving freedom of speech is important to us. Nevertheless, the creation and dissemination of disinformation has to be deterred and the perpetrators’ sense of wrongdoing heightened.”

The Citizens Council also recommends supplementing the EU’s Digital Services Act, the centerpiece of the EU’s efforts to suppress so-called disinformation, with a new law, which would require what they call Very Large Online Platforms, or VLOPs, to reserve 1% of their global turnover for the purpose of “combating disinformation.”

Among others, Facebook, X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Amazon and Wikipedia have been designated as VLOPs by the European Commission.

Time now for our nightly Worldview Report commentary.

The US government prioritizes foreign entities over their own citizens, writes Marin Armstrong in a recent summation of the Hurricane devastation that took place in four Southeastern states.

FEMA has thus far offered  paltry $750 to victims of Hurricane Helene while shelling out billions to foreign governments.

Armstrong points out that the Biden-Harris regime has pledged over $17 BILLION to Ukraine, Taiwan, and Israel in the past week alone.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden has already gone on record to tell hurricane victims that they should not expect any additional resources from the federal government

When asked about why more hasn’t been done to help Americans whose lives have been tragically upended, Biden coldly snapped, “We’ve given everything that we have.”

It was less than a week before the hurricane hit that Ukrainian President Zelensky abruptly visited America ahead of the election to beg for additional aid before the end of the federal fiscal year on September 30.

He went home with $8 billion, including $5.6 billion in weapons and $2.4 billion worth of aid.

Joe Biden enacted the Presidential Drawdown Authority, which allowed him to draw additional weapons from stockpiles that were meant to help allies in an emergency. He has used this countless times over the last two years.

Not to be outdone, Israel received $8.7 billion from the United States in the past week. The package includes $5.2 billion to secure Israel’s air-defense systems and $3.5 billion for essential wartime procurement.

Armstrong notes that it’s incredible that the US government can pledge billions to secure the Iron Dome while completely ignoring its own borders.

He writes:

“Our Commander in Chief has sent about 3,000 troops to the Middle East, according to the Pentagon. There are already 40,000 soldiers positioned in the region, although Kamala Harris insisted during the debate that this marked the first time that US soldiers have not been deployed to foreign wars.

Then Biden approved $567 million in defense support for Taiwan on Sunday as several states were being blasted by Hurricane Helene.

I think you see the pattern here: the U.S. government is eager to help its allies wage foreign wars, almost no price tag is too high for that, while it shows itself stubbornly stingy, or even AWOL, when Americans find themselves in need through no fault of their own.

Armstrong is right when he writes:

“Imagine if these resources were invested domestically. This is a mere fraction of what the federal government has provided to these three nations and will continue to provide so long as a neocon remains in power. We have seen this happen countless times with other natural disasters at home, such as fires in Maui, where the people received a small one-time payment of $700 after losing absolutely everything.”

The government no longer needs to pretend to care about its citizens. They’ve shown us with whom their loyalties lie.

That does it for this edition of the Worldview Report. Thanks for watching and supporting this broadcast.

Until next time…
