Agriculture Industry Targeted | August 15, 2023
Increasingly, American farm land, and our food supply, is under attack. Whether it’s the acquisition of fertile farm land for the carbon-capture pipeline, China buying up farm land, their stealing of seed samples, the closure of food processing plants, the development and promotion of lab-grown meat or the push to allow companies to inject beef cattle with mRNA vaccines, there is a target on the back of our nation’s agriculture industry. This attack is necessary, we are told, because of global climate change.
Returning to Crosstalk with an update on this issue was Tom DeWeese. Tom is president of American Policy Center. He is one of the nation’s leading advocates of individual liberty, free enterprise, private property rights, personal privacy, back-to-basics education and American sovereignty and independence and protecting our constitutionally-guaranteed rights.
Remember folks, “sustainable” is the word regarding almost everything. According to Tom, the attack on agriculture is on the way farmers grow crops, raise their animals, etc. The attack is directed at small farmers by global corporations that are going along with the global climate change agenda.
In late July, President Biden’s climate “czar,” John Kerry, was blasted by critics who accused him of trying to destroy the agriculture industry in order to achieve net-zero emissions. Jim played an audio clip of Kerry where he claims that the agriculture industry is responsible for 26%-33% of all the emissions of the world and that with a rising world population (now over 8 billion) we can’t get to net-zero unless agriculture is part of the solution. He believes if we continue on to see a 2 degree future increase in global temperatures, it could result in an additional 600 million people not getting enough to eat.
This is a jam-packed program as Tom also comments on the following:
- What’s new on the carbon capture pipeline front. The point person on that is Governor Kristi Noem of South Dakota.
- Action from the North Dakota legislature and their denial of a route permit for the carbon-capture pipeline.
- The American cattle industry is now part of the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef. The main organization behind this is the World Wildlife Fund. The WWF has said that meat consumption is devastating some of the world’s most valuable and vulnerable regions due to the vast amount of land needed to produce animal feed. In other words, do away with beef!
- Audio was presented featuring President Biden from the Grand Canyon saying that he’s already declared a national emergency with respect to climate change. He believes it’s the existential threat to humanity.
- There’s a push by state legislatures to allow companies to inject beef cattle with mRNA vaccines to protect against disease. At least 5 states have filed legislation opposed to this.
There’s much more to consider, and callers took their turn on the air as well, on this edition of Crosstalk.
