Brannon fears the greatest threat to the church in America is not Obama and the government but the false teachers that are now being brought into the mainstream by evangelical leaders. Why is Tony Perkins, President of the Family Research Council, speaking with and appearing on the TV program of “prophet” Rick Joyner and the Oak Initiative? Rick Joyner is a “prophet” and has worked to restore “prophet” Todd Bentley to “ministry” after news reports surfaced that he had left his wife and children to marry another women. Why are so many pro-family leaders working with members of the New Apostolic Reformation? (NAR). Hear the audio clip of Tony on the TV program of Joyner calling for men to “rightly divide the Word of God.” If Tony and others pro-family leaders would rightly divide the Word of God they would not appear with false teachers and give them credibility. Hear an audio clip of Joyner speaking about restoring Todd Bentley as well as an audio clip from Nightline about Bentley. Hear a clip of “prophet” Lou Engle calling for God’s kingdom rule on earth now. David Barton gives an interview stating that it is ok to be with false prophets because Elijah did it. So Elijah united with false prophets in a spiritual enterprise or in an attempt to reclaim the country? I Kings 18:40 states “and Elijah said to them, ‘Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not let one of them escape!’ So they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the Brook Kishon and executed them.” Acts 20:30 warns us that men from within the church will distort things in order to attract a following. Many in the secular world are shocked the NAR has made inroads into the inner circle of the pro-family movement. Discerning Christians should be weeping over what is taking place within the church in America and that more Christian leaders are not speaking up in concern.
