Topic: Newsmax reports that Don Wildmon of the AFA has now endorsed Newt Gingrich. Are you getting confused? In the summer of 2011, Christianity Today reported that Donald Wildmon, founder and former head of the American Family Association, is endorsing Perry. The Mississippi based AFA organized and spent $600,000 to finance Perrys prayer rally, called The Response, and later directed its 30,000 participants to a new Christian voter-registration campaign. They reported that Wildmon said, Im going to do whatever I can to help the man get elected, speaking of Perry. So what changed Wildmons mind? You think Rick Perry might be a bit confused as well? What about Newts three marriages, his position on global warming, his reported praise of human cloning advocate Alvin Toffler, his pushing of NAFTA, his support of favored nation trade status for China, his call for Americans to be required to purchase health insurance, his big government policies and much more? Are the religious right getting desperate? Are conservatives and pro-family leaders more interested in a place at the table inside the White House than a candidates character, values, and conservatism?
