Brannon presented audio clips from Glenn Beck’s program that aired this past Friday, February 25, 2011 that featured Rabbi Daniel Lapin, Historian David Barton, James Robison, and former Vietnam Vet Dave Roever. The case was made at the beginning of the program that “born again” Christians have a higher rate of divorce and lying than that of atheists. The case was made that “born again” Christians can use porn, astrology, and even lie and justify it because they are forgiven and yet still be called “born again”. While Christians do sin, and even commit gross sins, should Christians be telling the unsaved world on national television that this is the fruit of someone that is a “born again” Christian? I think the fruit of many of these “born again” Christians prove they are not “born again”. The most important issue of the day is apostasy in the church; false converts, and calling people “born again” who have no doctrinal fruit of being “born again.” Some of these evangelicals poured the praise on to Glenn Beck for presenting truth and warning of rejecting Biblical truth. Glenn is not doing that. Glenn is promoting unbiblical truth such as New Age and Mormonism? James Robison even spoke of working together to storm the gates of hell and how Glenn is calling people to work together to do this. How are we going to do that with a New Age Mormon? Robison said Beck is looking for people who love God but what God Robison the God of the Mormons or the God of the Bible? Brannon noted that if we’re going to reclaim America, it won’t be accomplished by setting aside our theology and doctrine and becoming more ecumenical; instead what we must do is reclaim our churches, preach the gospel and define what it really means to be a true covert—a true follower of Jesus Christ.
