Former president-elect of the Christian Coalition wants Christians to find common ground with socialists. Pastor Joel Hunter is a board member of the National Association of Evangelicals. Joel Hunter wants evangelicals and progressives (that means socialists) to sit down and dialogue and find consensus on issues like global warming, abortion, stem cell research and same-sex marriage. Hunter is a big promoter of the “Third Way” that Brannon has been discussing for several years. Hunter is listed on the website of the “Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions” and is listed as being part of the United Nation’s “Alliance of Civilizations” from 2008-2010. In 2009 Hunter was appointed to President Obama’s White House Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnership. Hunter also writes for BioLogos, a pro-evolution organization for which reformed Pastor Tim Keller writes.
