Will this be the message we hear at Glenn Beck's Restoring Love Rally on 7-28-12 in Dallas? Beck has announced his global peace and freedom plan. Rick Warren has a Global Peace Plan and has now opened the Peace Center at his church. Warren and Beck seem to be working to transformation the church for the purpose of advancing a social agenda. If you don’t agree with Beck and Warren’s spiritual agenda will that make you a hater? Christians committed to sound Biblical theology and doctrine are increasingly being marginalized by the New Religious Right, the Cults, and those committed to ecumenicalism, a social gospel and social justice. Nowhere in the New Testament Church description do we see the calling of the corporate church to focus on cultural renewal or social programs for those outside the church. While a mercy ministry can be a ministry for individuals as a platform for preaching the gospel, it is not a function described in the Bible as a calling of the collective, New Testament Church. The New Testament church is to equip and train its members for the work of ministry—the preaching of the gospel.
