Topic One: Brannon continues to answer the last caller's question from the day before. Should pastors be expected to know about marketing, the internet and the last technology? What is the Biblical mandate for a pastor/shepherd/elder? Ephesians 4:11-12 tells us it is to "equip the saints for the work of the ministry; for the edifying of the body of Christ." Topic Two: A full time pastor or bi-vocational pastor and how should a church make such a decision? Topic Three: Why does the American church today have so few lay leaders and so few that are involved in the actual "work of the ministry"? Ephesians 4:16 tells us that every Christian is to be a involved in effect ministry and doing their share in ministry. Why do most Christians simply attend church but are not involved in the actual work of a specific ministry that is based on their spiritual gift? Topic Four: Focus on the Family turns the former "Day of Truth" into "Day of Dialogue". This is exactly what we have been talking about for months. The goal is to get people to dialogue and then compromise truth in order to gain group consensus. Why should we not be shocked at this new strategy of FOTF based on past comments by their President Jim Daly? Topic Five: We take your calls.
