Topic: You have to hear it to believe it! Kirk Cameron speaks at Liberty University and tells the students that “Uncle Kirk” is going to save Christmas with his upcoming movie. Kirk makes what some believe was a painfully embarrassing attempt at humor while apparently mocking and ridiculing what he called religious nitpickers. Hear Kirk do an embarrassing skit, with a British accent. His skit was on how Chinese food is pagan in what appears to be an attempt to say that those that talk about the pagan ideas behind some of the trappings of Christmas should avoid pagan Chinese food as well. Some callers to our program felt Kirk’s skit was close to being, if not outright, sacrilegious as he jokes about the Trinity and Chinese food. Topic: Remember Kirk is the guy that was on ABC News Nightline a few years ago debating atheists on the topic of evolution and his appearance caused many of us to cringe as he held up pictures of a bull-frog, (frog with horns), and a sheep dog, (a sheep with a dog face) to prove the fallacy of macroevolution. Topic: Hear two secular TV talk show hosts report on their shock that Kirk Cameron wants to put Jesus into Halloween. Then hear one of the secular TV hosts explain that despite what Kirk Cameron thinks Halloween has no Christian bases. The secular host actually gives an accurate report on the history of Halloween. Topic: What must the persecuted Church in China and around the world think of the state of evangelicalism in America with the antics of Cameron and others that seem so obsessed with moralizing and Christianizing the culture at what appears to be at the expense of Biblically contending for the faith?
