THE MAJORITY TEXTS OF THE BIBLE Prior to the 20th century, it was generally believed that the Traditional Greek text of the Protestant Reformation represented the majority readings of the ancient Greek manuscripts. But this impression changed through the 20th century with the discovery of additional texts. We often hear references to the "majority text" of the Greek New Testament, but what exactly does this mean? Does the majority really include most manuscripts? Or just a selective few that have been organized to give a false impression? Chris discusses the details of the controversy.
