THE DEATH OF NELSON MANDELA Chris discusses the recent passing of former South African president, Nelson Mandela. Mandela was considered a charismatic leader, who was often celebrated in American media as an heroic icon in the struggle for freedom and human rights. But is that the whole story of who he was? For years, it has been known that he was a radical leftist and well known Communist who was imprisoned for carrying out acts of terrorism during the Apartheid era. The bizarre contrast is seen in that some American pastors remember Mandela with fondness, while at least one South African minister reminds the world of what he really represented.
