THE UPS & DOWNS OF OUR LIFE AS CHRISTIANS Chris discusses Luke chapter four, where the Lord Jesus begins his earthly ministry and is preaching in the synagogue at Nazareth. The people there initially marvel at his gracious words, but are then quickly offended by Him and ready to throw him from a cliff. How is this a picture of the walk of faith we are called to in Christ? In the world, we are told, we will have tribulation. Yet the Lord compels us to be of good cheer, for He has overcome the world. The Scriptures remind us that God is a very present help in time of trouble.
