THE SHIPS OF TARSHISH A homosexual ralley in Boston was overwhelmed with demonstrations of so-called "Gay Christianity" as more and more church groups embrace the idea that this aberrant behavior, clearly condemned in the Scripture, is somehow pleasing to God. The increased acceptance of sodomy has compelled an increasing number of pastors to change their view of the homosexual lifestyle, which seems to reflect a new twist in the ecumenical movement. In light of this, Chris discusses the Biblical symbolism of the ships of Tarshish and their meaning as found in the writings of the Old Testament. The ships were known to come with gold and treasure, but we are told that they were broken by God as a punishment against King Jehoshaphat for joining himself to a wicked ally. What lessons can we as Christians learn in our own time about compromise, and joining hands with those who "hate the Lord" by their rejection of His commands?
