PALEOGRAPHY: SCIENCE OR PSEUDOSCIENCE? Chris discusses more on the history of the Bible, and the manuscript evidence that has occupied so many arguments in modern times. How do we know that the oldest manuscripts are so old? How can we prove that later manuscripts were written at a later date? The answer, we are told, is "paleographic evidence." Yet few Christians realize that paleography is not an exact science, and in the opinion of some experts, it's conclusions should be questioned with greater scrutiny. Most importantly, how has it affected our understanding of the Bible as the inspired Word of God? With the Christian influence in America declining daily, is it possible that this so-called "science" plays a critical part?
