PILGRIMS, PURITANS & FIRST PETER Chris discusses the distinctions between the Pilgrim "Separatists" of the Mayflower landing of 1620 alongside the Puritans who founded Massachusetts Bay in 1630. Often, both groups are called Puritans together, however, there are those who argue that a clear difference should be acknowledged between them and their beliefs. In particular, the Society of Mayflower Descendants developed a resolution to this effect in 1960. Also discussed is 1 Peter chapter 4 where the apostle reminds us that 'the end of all things is at hand.'
