MARK'S ENDING & THE MARK OF THE BEAST Chris discusses issues pertaining to the faith of the Gospel, and its defense in modern times. In particular, an article on the Biblical Archaeology website by Dr. James Tabor who writes about the "Strange Ending of the Gospel of Mark" as he calls it. Tabor argues that the shorter ending of Mark's gospel "makes all the difference" to understanding Christianity. But what does he mean? His argument is illogical, and largely based on the principle of placing Mark first in the historic order of the writing of the gospels -- instead of Matthew -- a practice that has gained momentum through the 20th century. Also discussed are emails from listeners concerning the Mark of the Beast according to the Book of Revelation. What does the "mark" or "number" of the beast mean?
