It is well known that the Papacy was viewed as the Antichrist, and his empire was the Kingdom of the Beast. But if obedience to the Pope meant a person had the mark, then how could the Reformers have come to salvation, unless repentance were possible? And was it this very issue that caused Evangelicals to change their view in the 19th century? In this show, we learn the history of how prophecies concerning the Antichrist were understood by the ancient church, by the Reformers, along with the Puritans and Pilgrims. But how did these groups see the infamous "mark" as mentioned in the book of Revelation?
