Today's Show: THE GOSPEL OF MARK Chris teaches on the Gospel according to Mark, discussing the authorship of the work and its important history. Most scholars agree that this account of the life of Christ was written by John Mark, who had been the companion of Paul and Barnabus (Acts 13:5); and who was also the close companion of the Apostle Peter. In fact, most early church writers believed that Mark's gospel was comprised of the stories he was told by Peter during their time together. The gospel opens with these beautiful words: "The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God ..."
