Today's Show: NEHEMIAH
Chris discusses the book of Nehemiah, and the challenges facing believers who are pursuing
the work of the Lord. As Nehemiah went forth to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, he faced opposition
from those who sought to prevent him from accomplishing his task. The resistance movement against
him was similar to what had been faced by Zerubbabel who rebuilt the Temple in Jerusalem, as we
read in the book of Ezra. What are the similarities of these accounts? How were these men opposed
by their enemies? In Nehemiah, we read that the enemy's purpose was so that their "hands shall
be weakened from the work, that it be not done." What Biblical lessons can we learn about how to
face our opposition so that we keep focused on what God has given us to do?
