America is a nation in crisis.  Sadly, it’s marked by the following:

• Division
• Lawlessness
• Record murder rates
• Family breakups
• Skyrocketing drug use
• Escalating deaths by overdose
• Suicide
• The killing of the unborn
• Sexual perversion
• Lies, deception, tyranny 

…and the list goes on.

At the same time we’re seeing churches, that should be proclaiming biblical truth, weakening as they compromise doctrine and abandon the Gospel for the sake of entertainment and/or being inclusive.

All of this amounts to a nation that’s in great spiritual need.

Jim indicated that he received a letter from a listener who shared a portion of Scripture from Jeremiah 18 and it frames this program very well.  It shows us that Israel of old would not listen to Jeremiah, repent of their sins and turn to God.  It appears that America is acting in the same fashion.

It’s from this perspective that Jim opened the phone lines to have listeners contemplate the year that’s passed and the year that’s before us and then present the verse of Scripture that they believe America needs today.

In 2016, WVW-TV began to urge our radio and television audience to prepare for increasingly uncertain times such as:

• disrupted “just in time” inventory supply chains
• massive increase in inflation
• biological warfare and terrorism
• an EMP attack from China, Russia, Iran, or North Korea
• A cyber attack on our critical infrastructure, including power-grid, water utilities and/or the banking industry
