There is a movement gaining steam across the country. It’s goal? The dismantling and defunding of police departments.  Many say “unthinkable” but many just the same are seeking to do away with law enforcement as we know it.  This movement has been used as a springboard in the death of George Floyd and the media has been generously providing more and more time to the efforts.  Is this the direction we need to take as a nation?  What’s at stake if we dismantle and defund law enforcement…what will fill the gap if that happens?  Is there widespread bias in our policing today?  What is the role of the Church – in such a time as this? 

Joining us today is Richard Schmidt. Richard is the former Sheriff of Milwaukee County, who served some 32 years in different capacities in the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s office.  He has recently been called as Pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church and also heads Prophecy Focus Ministries. Pastor Schmidt will answer several questions (based on his experience) and help to bring MUCH light upon the darkness we see growing in our land.
