COVID-19 highlighted most of the content Jim presented on this edition of the ‘Round-Up.’  Here’s a sample of stories that made the cut: 

–This day marks the 59th anniversary of the first day of broadcasting for what we know today as VCY America.

–Former Obama officials and Adam Schiff appeared to know that there’s little to no evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia during the 2016 election.

–Former Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley took to the Senate floor this week demanding more information concerning the previous administration’s targeting of General Michael Flynn.

–The president of Mexico would like to have a word with America about a past controversy known as ‘Fast and Furious’ that took place from 2009 to 2011.

–White House Coronavirus Adviser Dr. Debra Birx has challenged the CDC’s count of coronavirus cases and deaths. 

–Field hospitals set up across the U.S. to help medical providers cope with the flood of coronavirus patients cost an estimated 660 million dollars and most of them are being dismantled without seeing a single patient.

–The results of a newly released medical survey indicate New York state’s COVID-19 outbreak may defy expectations.  According to the data, roughly 66% of hospitalized coronavirus patients were admitted from the safety of their own homes.

–NBC Investigative correspondent calls out New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for forcing nursing homes in the state to take in coronavirus-positive patients just out of the hospital.

–In the U.S., 39% of all U.S. COVID-19 deaths occurred in nursing homes.

–Illinois Governor J.B  Pritzker stated that the current restrictions on businesses and citizens in effect through the end of May could remain in effect with no end in sight.

–In Waukegan, Illinois, Planned Parenthood has opened a new abortion clinic.

–Los Angeles is looking to stay locked down till August 1st.

–Everyone who leaves their place of residence in Los Angeles is required to wear a face covering.

–Maxine Waters urged governors to ignore pleas to reopen economies.

–California is becoming a ‘vote-by-mail’ state.

–The Ventura County health director said they will hunt down those who test positive for COVID-19, all their contacts and quarantine them. 

–Washington Governor Jay Inslee said that people who refuse to cooperate with contact tracers or refuse coronavirus testing won’t be allowed to leave their homes even to go to grocery stores/pharmacies.

–Senator Rand Paul sparred with Dr. Anthony Fauci over his suggestion that lock-downs should continue and that schools should be closed through the Fall semester. 

–President Trump is preparing an executive order requiring that essential drugs be manufactured in the USA.

–A 77 year old barber has been hit with license suspension and in addition is facing a $1,000 fine and jail time (one year per haircut) for violating the Michigan governor’s stay-at-home order.
