COVID-19 has closed down many things, not just for adults but for children as well.  In light of that, this edition of Crosstalk featured guests that have opened new doors of opportunity in the area of evangelism as well as study helps to help children grow in their walk with the Lord.

Joining Jim to discuss these opportunities was John Luck, the assistant to the president with Child Evangelism Fellowship and Lynn Kaiser who is with the organization in corporate communications.

Child Evangelism Fellowship exists for the purpose of evangelizing boys and girls, discipling them in the Word of God and establishing them in the local church.  They are active in nearly every country on earth and currently have the privilege of sharing the Gospel with over 25 million children per year.

COVID-19 raises many questions/fears in the minds of children such as:

–Why do bad things like COVID-19 happen?

–Is God angry with me?

–Is God still with us?

–If my parents die, who will take care of me?

–How will I live if my parents lose their jobs?

–Why can’t I play with my friends?

–Why can’t I see grandma and grandpa?

–Will this end so I can go back to school?

To help children deal with these concerns, CEF has a resource on their website called, ‘Stop the Spread.’  Through Scripture-based, fear-busters, it helps children set their minds on God’s truth as they process their questions/fears.

‘Stop the Spread’ has the Gospel in it as well.  Parents going through this with their children can help them see who God is, why these kinds of things happen and how it goes back to the entrance of sin into the world.
