Beginning with Mother’s Day weekend, pro life organizations and churches have come under attack by those engaged in extreme violence simply because there are states that are forbidding the killing of children in the womb.  Perhaps even more amazing is the violence taking place in states that still allow such killing of children.  Over 70 such attacks have taken place. 

Some feel the nation is at a boiling point. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has said, pertaining to abortion, that science hasn’t changed since the Roe v. Wade decision, but politics have changed. Today’s guest, with her scientific background, contends against this statement.

As of 45 minutes before this broadcast started, since the 1973 Roe decision, according to numberofabortions.com there have been 63,864,622 children that have lost their lives through abortion.  This number is likely higher due to chemical abortions.  That number alone is nearly 20% of the current U.S. population.

The numbers are hard to fathom, but it’s being reported that since the Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision in 1973, there have been over 63.7 million abortions.  That’s more than 63.7 million babies who received a death sentence for the simple fact that they existed.  We cannot forget what God told Jeremiah as recorded in Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”  And yet in defiance against our Creator, 7 of the 9 sitting justices on the Supreme Court in 1973 invented a right to take the life of another innocent human being without a penalty.

The Supreme Court heard arguments this week in a case involving a Mississippi ban on all abortions after the 15th week of pregnancy.  There is more to the abortion debate than the usual topics.  Opening the show this week, John highlights the shifting definition of an unborn baby over the years by the pro-abortion crowd.  It went from a clump of cells to maybe alive to ‘OK, it’s a human.’  But they also say that while it may be a human, it’s still not a person.  This gives them the so-called moral justification to perform abortions.  It’s what the Nazis did – they depersonalized Jews so that they could justify places like Auschwitz.
