Good evening and welcome to the Worldview Report.

Tens of thousands of protesters are out in the streets across the U.K. with many of the demonstrations featuring violent clashes between pro-migrant and anti-migrant groups.

An angry mob in the U.K. stormed into a hotel housing migrants and asylum seekers, hurling chairs and releasing fire extinguishers on riot police, while setting bins and furniture on fire Sunday, the Daily Mail reports.

Yes, many of those rioting are right-wing. But not all of them.

Hundreds of violent protesters, which the British media have portrayed as 100 percent “far right,” clashed with officers trying to protect the Holiday Inn Express in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, since around 2 p.m. Sunday. At least one police officer has been injured in the chaos outside the hotel on the northern outskirts of the post-industrial town. 

But some of the most violent outbursts have come in the form of backlash from Britain’s Muslims. Numerous reports have surfaced of people being attacked on the streets by Muslims with knives and machetes, a fact being ignored or downplayed by the British and western media.

Here is a Muslim raising a jihadist flag and yelling “F the Jews!” and “Rape their daughters!”

This is starting to look like civil war in the U.K.

And it’s interesting that one of the hotbeds is Rotherham. Rotherham is the city where hundreds of poor young British girls have been raped and assaulted over the years by Muslim migrants, often with the full knowledge of local social service workers and other authorities.

Sunday marked yet another day of angry riots on Britain's streets, after chaos ensued this week leaving police with broken bones, cars set on fire and innocent pedestrians targeted on the streets. The outburst comes after three young girls were stabbed to death in Southport by alleged knifeman Axel Muganwa Rudakubana on July 29. 

While photos from the scene of the migrant hotel have shown some occupants looking out of the hotel window onto rioters, it is still unclear if the migrants and asylum seekers housed in the property have been able to evacuate, according to the Daily Mail.

Other photos appear to show protesters breaching the hotel. The BBC reported that people were seen forcing their way inside. 

Objects and pieces of wood were flung at officers who had lined up in front of the building with at least one cop in riot gear being carried away by colleagues. The grass around the hotel appears to have been set on fire as well. 

One person's face was seen completely covered with a Union Jack mask while they waved a large England flag outside the hotel.

The Jerusalem Post reports that the Iranian attack on Israel in response to the assassination of Hamas political bureau leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran last week is expected to come as early as today, Monday, three U.S. and Israeli officials told Axios reporter Barak Ravid on Sunday.

Michael Erik Kurilla, commander of U.S. Central Command, arrived in the Middle East early Sunday morning amid Hezbollah and Iran's threats against Israel, Walla reported on Sunday, citing two senior U.S. officials.

The aim of the visit is to prepare a coalition to counter such threats, the report added. 

Several Iranian officials vowed that the country would avenge Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh’s assassination, as Israel remains on high alert for a potential attack and the United States is sending additional forces to the region.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps said on Saturday that revenge will be “severe and at an appropriate time, place, and manner,” blaming the “terrorist Zionist regime” for Haniyeh’s death.

In addition, the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations told CBS News on Friday that Hezbollah would begin deliberately targeting Israeli civilians – claiming that it had not done so until now.

The Lebanese-based terrorist group has reportedly decided to increase its targets in attacks in response to the assassination of its commander, Fuad Shukr.

An Israeli official told CBS News that while Iran’s April 13 attack was thwarted, Israel was anticipating a “more aggressive” retaliation this time around – a retaliation which could extend to Israeli interests abroad.

The U.S. military will deploy additional fighter jets and Navy warships to the Middle East, the Pentagon said on Friday, as Washington seeks to bolster defenses following threats from Iran and its allies Hamas and Hezbollah. It is also sending an additional squadron of fighter jets to the Middle East along with 4,000 Marines.

The bloodshed continues in the Middle East as a terrorist reportedly went on a stabbing spree in the Holon neighborhood of Tel Aviv Sunday morning and killed a 70-year-old woman and injured two men, one 68 years old and the other 26. Details are still coming in, so the situation may change. The attacker, reportedly 34-year-old terrorist Amar Razak Kamel Odeh—a resident of the Palestinian city Salfit in the West Bank—was eliminated. A policeman who happened to be in the area shot and killed the terrorist.

The murdered victim was a 70-year-old woman. One 70-year-old male is in critical condition, a 68-year-old man is in serious condition, and a 26-year-old man is in moderate condition in the attack, according to Israel’s emergency medical service, Magen David Adom. The paramedics took the three wounded to the Wolfson Medical Center.

The victims were not in the same location; the assailant apparently was able to go on an extended spree.

A report by Ynet stated that Odeh began the stabbing spree in a park behind a gas station on Moshe Dayan Street. He started going toward the sidewalk and the bus stop on the street adjacent to the gas station and then stabbed three people in the park and another person on the sidewalk.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and other members of her far-left congressional “Squad” are in a world of legal trouble, according to a report from Fox News on Sunday.

AOC and the others are facing a class-action lawsuit accusing them of inciting anti-Semitic violence at the prestigious Columbia University earlier this summer, as well as encampments. Five students filed an anonymous lawsuit, naming Ocasio-Cortez, Democratic Reps. Jamal Bowman of New York, and Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. The lawsuit also names around a dozen anti-Israel organizing groups, Fox reported.

“The Gaza Encampment was extreme and outrageous conduct. It was illegal. It violated university rules. Its occupants harassed, followed, physically blocked, intimidated, and bullied Jewish students,” the lawsuit says.

Two of the five students are Jewish. One, identified as “Tim Doe” in the suit, spoke about it in an interview with the New York Post.

“During the protests, I witnessed numerous offensive and antisemitic signs and messages, including antisemitic skunk posters with the Star of David,” he told The Post.

“In one instance, I was walking with my non-Jewish friends when I was singled out because I was wearing my yarmulke. A leader of the pro-Palestinian protest approached our group and confronted me. He singled me out, yelling that I needed to move, and when I refused, he began to shove me out of the way,” he noted further.

The encampment at Columbia University captured international attention as students and even faculty engaged in a campus takeover that went on for weeks.

The protests led to classes being moved online and severely restricted access to campus buildings, which impacted students preparing for final exams. As a result, Columbia, along with other universities nationwide, had to cancel its graduation ceremony.

“Those were real damages sustained by the 36,000 students at Columbia who chose to obey university rules, go to class, and pursue their education, only to be frustrated at the finish line by the … acts of their classmates and professors, with the assistance and encouragement of outside activists,” the lawsuit claims.

AOC, Bowman, and Omar all expressed support for the pro-Palestinian demonstrators at the time, Fox noted.

Tacoma police have arrested a 27-year-old illegal alien and charged him with second-degree murder in connection to a shooting at an apartment complex. Officers with the Tacoma Police Department stated in a press release that they responded to the shooting just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, only to find a man with a gunshot wound. Police began life-saving measures until fire personnel arrived, but the man died of his injuries. 

Police took the suspected shooter, Adrian Ramirez Martinez, into custody on Thursday, August 1. 

The Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office told The News Tribune that Ramirez Martinez appeared in court Friday, August 2. Bail has been set at $2 million. Prosecutors charged Martinez with second-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm while being illegally in the country.

Martinez is ineligible to possess a firearm, according to court documents. He was extradited to Mexico from the United States in September 2016 and banned from reentry for two decades. Prosecutors warned ahead of the arrest that the defendant was a flight risk and could still be armed.

The National Football League has announced the implementation of mandatory facial recognition software across all 32 teams. This decision comes after a trial run last year at select venues, including Cleveland Browns Stadium, and will officially kick off with this summer’s preseason games.

The new system will kick off with the Patriots and Giants home games on August 8.

According to Jeff Boehm, chief operating officer of Wicket, the company behind the facial recognition technology, this system is designed to ensure that only properly credentialed media, officials, staff, and guests can access restricted areas such as the playing field, press box, and locker rooms.

Boehm announced on LinkedIn:

“Big news for Wicket as the NFL expands the use of our technology league-wide this season! Credential holders simply take a selfie before they come, and then Wicket verifies their identity as they walk through security checkpoints.”

Billy Langenstein, senior director of security services for the NFL, emphasized the need for “accountability and standardizing credentialing policies and technologies” in his statement to the Sports Business Journal.

The Gateway Pundit reports that while the NFL touts this initiative as a necessary step towards enhanced security, many are questioning whether it represents an alarming shift towards surveillance culture in America.

A recent clip posted on the Dallas Cowboys website showcased how easily individuals could be identified using biometric data within packed stadiums.

The Federalist reports that Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is encouraging residents to rat out their neighbors for so-called misinformation ahead of November’s election.

According to an online document from Benson’s office:

“Misinformation about the election process, voter rights, or even an issue on the ballot is a serious threat to election security. If you see misleading or inaccurate information regarding voting or elections in Michigan, please report it.”

The document requests residents email reports of election “misinformation” – with “an image if possible” – to [email protected]. Benson’s office solicits residents to report misinformation on its “voter education resources” page. 

Benson’s office published another document discussing this so-called election misinformation, calling it “the most potentially damaging threat to our democracy.” 

It blamed “partisans, grifters, and other opportunists here at home” for “hacking the minds of American citizens,” and called on residents to enforce the official narrative.

The document further reads:

“Citizens can and should join this effort, calling out misinformation when they see it and insisting that we hold people accountable for spreading lies about elections.”

For information that Benson calls “trusted,” her office refers residents to its own fact check page, FactCheck.org, PolitiFact, and Snopes. The latter three have all shown their stripes as servants of leftist information gatekeepers.

Benson, a Democrat, launched a so-called Democracy Ambassador program for residents last week, according to a press release. The state sends supposedly “nonpartisan facts and resources” to residents who join, and it encourages them to share these approved messages “within their communities” where they will “combat any election-related misinformation.”

Benson said participants will “squash misinformation before it spreads.”

The state’s “Democracy Ambassador” webpage says the program consists of three steps: sign up to receive approved information, share that information, and sign up to be a poll worker. 

Democrat Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel spoke to journalists last month, emphasizing collaboration between officials and the media in her effort to “eliminate misinformation from social media platforms.”

The Washington Times reports that presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris once threatened to use databases of gun owners to send police to their homes to confiscate firearms.

Harris described her gun-control stance in August 2019 at a Democratic presidential primary forum that took place shortly after two deadly mass shootings in California and Texas.

She said she was “prepared to take executive action” to implement comprehensive background checks, crack down on gun dealers and ban the import of so-called assault weapons.

Harris said she knew how to enforce tough gun laws because as California attorney general she allowed police to “knock on the doors of people” on a state list of prohibited gun owners and people deemed a danger to themselves and others.

“We sent law enforcement out to take those guns because we have to deal with this on all levels.”

Last March, Harris announced the launch of the first-ever National Extreme Risk Protection Order Resource Center, which will support the implementation of state red-flag laws.

Extreme Risk Protection Orders generally establish a legal process for law enforcement, which can begin with family members or others seeking a judicial order that a person is a danger to themselves or others and should lose the ability to purchase and possess firearms.

The Resource Center is funded by a Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance grant made possible by the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act and is run by the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions.

The Center is already facing opposition from almost 20 attorneys general in GOP-run states. They say the Resource Center advocates laws that “suspend fundamental rights under the Second Amendment with no genuine due process.”

Time now for our Worldview Report commentary.

The New York Post reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday welcomed the arrival of US-made F-16 fighter jets as a “new chapter” for his military, which will start using them against Russia for the first time.

Confirming the jets’ arrival in a ceremony Sunday morning, Zelensky thanked the U.S., Denmark and Netherlands after the NATO allies delivered the warplanes for a much-needed boost to Ukraine’s aerial defense system.

He said:

“I am proud of our guys who are mastering these jets and have already started using them for our country. Now is a new chapter in the Ukrainian Air Force.”

The F-16s are a significant improvement from the Soviet-era jets that Kyiv has relied on in the past, with the new aircraft equipped with a 20mm cannon and more readily capable of deploying bombs, rockets and missiles. 

The F-16’s are also nuclear capable, a fact neither Zelensky nor the Western media has wanted to broadcast. But Russia knows this and will be hunting F-16s with particular zeal and it will not want any nuclear-capable military aircraft drifting anywhere near its airspace.

While Zelensky did not specify how many F-16s had arrived, NATO allies pledged to deliver up to 80 of them after Joe Biden signed off on the deal after first saying he would not.

This represents a major escalation to the war. Just keep poking the bear and then act shocked with the bear finally strikes back.

This encourages Russia to take up sides with Iran in its war against Israel, because now Russia has a proxy war against the U.S. in the Middle East just as the U.S. is running proxy war against Russia in Ukraine.

And that’s something every American ought to be concerned about.
