Dear Friends of Worldview Weekend Foundation,
Thank for your generous support of our work and mission. I am writing to you today to give you a report on what your Worldview Weekend Foundation has had a part in accomplishing over the past few months. In all our years of work I am excited to tell you that I can never remember a time when we have been given so many opportunities to proclaim the Gospel and Biblical truth. Please join us in thanking the Lord for the many opportunities He has given to us.  Here are just a few examples:
In September 2010, we received an e-mail from a man that was a Mason and had watched our new DVD on Freemasonry that featured Ron Carlson. This man wrote "I was next in line to be Worshipful Master…and am glad to report that as of our last stated meeting myself and a Past Master, who was a 33rd degree Mason and 37 year member, resigned from the Lodge. Two days later the Secretary of the Lodge announced his resignation. They are in a difficult place and may have to close if I can get a few more players to convert."
We are thankful that Lord is using our resources in this way and in the coming weeks this one hour presentation will air on our prime-time, national television program thanks to your continued support of the Worldview Weekend Foundation.
In September 2010, we received an e-mail from a solider deployed in Iraq thanking us for our radio program and explaining what he had learned about Islam when we interviewed Usama Dakdok.  Usama was born in Egypt and is an expert on Islam. Usama has published the first word for word translation of the Koran into the English language. Of more than 20 Korans printed in English, Usama says they have been white washed to hide the true evilness of Islam. We hear from many soldiers each year that are listening to our radio program on foreign soil and in harm's way. Please pray for our soldiers and that our program would continue to be an encouragement to them as they are away from their home church and family.
Over the next few weeks, we will host the free Worldview Weekend Rally in twenty cities. Joining me to present Biblical truth to both students and adults will be such speakers as Dr. Ron Carlson, Dr. David Noebel, Dr. Erwin Lutzer, Dr. Bob Cornuke and Marquis Laughlin.
On his national radio program a few weeks ago Glenn Beck referenced a CNN article in which CNN took a portion of one of my articles from our website in which I explained from the Scriptures why Christians cannot unite with Mormon Glenn Beck on his self-described spiritual event that took place on 8-27 and 8-28. Glenn declared on his radio program that "looking to one God is the theme" of the 8/28 event. Glenn referred to the CNN article and said "so now the religious bigotry is there too". Since I am quoted in the article explaining why we cannot unite with Mr. Beck spiritually, I assume he means me when he says "religious bigotry." Here is what CNN reported:
Brannon Howse, a conservative writer and founder of Worldview Weekend, which organizes Christian conferences, criticized evangelical participation in that event in a column this week. "The Apostle Paul warns Christians against uniting with unbelievers in spiritual endeavors...," Howse wrote. "While I applaud and agree with many of Glenn Beck's conservative and constitutional views, that does not give me or any other Bible-believing Christian justification to compromise Biblical truth by spiritually joining Beck."
I have received numerous e-mails from former Mormons who understand the seriousness of this issue and have thanked us for our strong proclamation of Biblical truth. Here is one such e-mail:
I was a tenured professor at Brigham Young University from 1999-2008, a dug-in Mormon for 30 years. Christ drew me and I went face down in surrender to the Biblical Christ, now a strong Christian. As former Mormon leaders, my husband and I have been speaking to Christians about Glenn Beck for some time and are shocked at the resistance we hear from Christians who don't seem to understand the gravity of this false and slippery "christ" of Mormonism.
I am also pleased to report to you that I was invited onto a large, secular talk station during morning drive time to explain what Mormons believe and contrast it to what Bible believing Christians believe. This is a secular station that carries Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and other such popular programs. For one hour, I was able to give a clear Gospel message without ridicule from the hosts or the callers. In fact, the producer e-mailed me later that day to thank me and to let me know they looked forward to my being a guest again in the future.
Glenn Beck has accomplished what neither Oprah Winfrey nor Shirley McClain could. I believe that Beck used his conservative veneer and doublespeak to co-opt leaders of the religious right. Beck and these evangelical leaders have sent the message that it is acceptable for millions of "Christians" to embrace humanistic spirituality and paganism for the purpose of social activism and social change. These pastors should re-read Luke 17:2 where we read; "It  would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones."
If I had told you five years ago that a "conservative" radio and TV personality would have millions of viewers, would talk about the spiritual battle being waged in America, would be a self-confessed member of a cult, would quote New Age phrases, would call for Christians and conservatives to look to the "one god", would declare "we need a Jesus or a Buddha", would seek to unite all faiths and would convince dozens of evangelical pastors and leaders to support him in a spiritual service-you would say I was writing fiction and that this would never happen.
Few Christians understand the magnitude of the spiritual shift that occurred within evangelicalism. The millions that see nothing wrong with the messages of Beck's 8-27 and 8-28 rallies reveal that the religious left and the religious right will be easily merged  together in the coming one world religion under the coming one-world spiritual leader as prophesied in Revelation 17:8.
Ephesians 5:11 commands all Christians to "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them." That is exactly what we have done and will continue to do in spite of e-mails and voice messages that are filled with cursing and insults. Our response must simply be, "Have I become your enemy because I tell you the truth?" [Galatians 4:16]
What is happening in America today reminds me of what happen in another country at another time. European Christianity was compromised and changed into a false religion from within as German rationalization or Higher Criticism led the people to follow a humanistic religion. Germany was Hitler's for the taking because absolute truth and the gospel of Jesus Christ had been betrayed, and thus even the "German Christians" believed that the end justified the means. Few Christians objected to what was occurring as long as the people were to regain their national pride and their financial abundance.  However, throughout history-as in America today-God has always had a remnant that remains true to Him and His Word.
The remnant as revealed in Revelation 14:12 are those who remain faithful to the cause of Jesus Christ even during great apostasy. "Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus."  Romans 11:5 declares, "Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace." Because of God's grace, not because of our good works, God has seen fit to save us unto Himself.
American Christians should not and cannot rate our success on whether or not we return our country and culture to its Christian roots. Our success or failure must be based on whether or not we have been faithful servants of the one and only true God and have earnestly contended for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 3).
If I were to detail to you all the positive reports and testimonies that we have received over the past few months, it would take you hours to read them all. To God be the Glory. Thank you for your partnership with us through the Worldview Weekend Foundation. I trust this report has been an encouragement to you. I look forward to bringing you such reports on a regular basis.
