Good evening and welcome to the Worldview Report.

The Arizona Legislature on Wednesday adjourned for the week, after failed attempts to repeal the 1864 law that bans all abortions in the state outside of cases in which they are necessary to save the life of the mother. The Arizona Supreme Court recently upheld the law – but not before some tense moments on the House floor.

Democratic lawmakers chanted “Save women’s lives” during a recess on the chamber floor, a chant that doesn’t even make sense since the extremely rare case of a mother’s life being needed to be saved by aborting her baby is included in the law that was upheld. Many delivery doctors have come forth in recent years saying they have been in practice for decades and never once needed to abort a baby in order to save a mother’s life.

But that doesn’t matter to a radical pro-abortionist. They will tell any lie and repeat it endlessly if it furthers their agenda.

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs and other state Democrats and a handful of Republicans, including Kari Lake, have called for the Legislature to repeal the law to allow for the current 15-week law to remain in place for the time being.

Many Democrats have also been critical of the 15-week abortion law, but have said that it’s preferable to the alternative.

On Wednesday, Rep. Matt Gress, R-Phoenix, motioned to bring Democratic Rep. Stephanie Stahl-Hamilton's House Bill 2677 that would repeal the abortion law up for a vote by bypassing committee and going straight to a floor vote.

But another Republican then successfully called for a recess.

A second attempt after recess to make a motion also failed, leading to lawmakers going home for the week.

Stahl-Hamilton said on the floor that “people will die” if the law is not repealed before it goes into effect. Try to make sense of that one.

House Speaker Ben Toma called the commotion “appallingly childish behavior” by Democrats, adding there is more time needed to sort the issue out. Now that state budget negotiations have started, the Legislature is only meeting once per week.

On the Senate side, a similar move by Democrats was attempted but the chamber also ended up adjourning.

Former President Donald Trump also weighed in on the Arizona abortion issue.

When asked Wednesday if Arizona went “too far,” the 45th president answered as follows.

Breitbart reports that a U.S. Navy photo posted to its official social media accounts is being mocked for showing a commander shooting an AR-platform rifle with the scope mounted backwards.

SHOW TWEETED PHOTO

https://x.com/zacharyebell/status/1777818281971216574

The photo shows a commander, identified as Commander Cameron Yaste by the Defense Blog, shooting an AR-platform rifle with what appears to be a Trijicon scope atop it. The problem? The scope is mounted backwards. This means the commander had no sight picture whatsoever as he fired the gun.

Text accompanying the photo reads, “From engaging in practice gun shoots, conducting maintenance, testing fuel purity, and participating in sea and anchor details, the U.S. Navy is always ready to serve and protect.”

The U.S. Navy pulled the photo after realizing the rifle scope was mounted backward, posting to X: “Thank you for pointing out our rifle scope error in the previous post. Picture has been removed until EMI is completed!”

The Western Journal noted that the photo would have had to be signed off on by multiple Navy officials before it got posted, and not one of them noticed the embarrassing snafu. The outlet writes:

“If the Navy could so easily overlook something that was relatively trivial, how many more serious errors might have slipped through the cracks? That might be a thought too chilling to contemplate.”

Just the News reports that two of the country's top investigative reporters, Catherine Herridge and Sharyl Attkisson, are urging Congress to pass legislation to protect journalists from federal government efforts to force them to reveal their sources.

Herridge, an award-winning journalist who has worked at Fox News and CBS News, told members of the House Judiciary subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government:

“Forcing reporters to disclose sources would have a crippling effect on investigative journalism.”

The hearing, titled “Fighting for a Free Press: Protecting Journalists and their Sources,” was convened to address the federal government's infringement on the First Amendment freedom of the press guarantees and proposed laws to address the issue.

Herridge, along with Attkisson, who also worked for CBS, and a group that represents broadcast journalists, are asking Congress to pass the PRESS Act.

The measure – formally known as the Protect Reporters from Exploitative State Spying Act – would prohibit the federal government from compelling a journalist or telecommunications firm from disclosing protected information, unless it is to prevent terrorism or imminent violence.

Herridge was held in civil contempt by a U.S. District Court earlier this year after she refused to disclose confidential sources from a series of 2017 stories she wrote about a Chinese-American scientist who was investigated by the FBI. She is currently appealing the judge's decision.

She told the committee:

“One of our children recently asked me if I would go to jail, if we would lose our house, and if we would lose our family savings to protect my reporting sources. I wanted to answer that, in this country, where we say we value democracy and the role of a vibrant and free press, it was impossible. But I couldn’t offer that assurance.”

Attkisson also urged Congress to pass the measure to enshrine federal protections for journalists.

O.J. Simpson, whose immense fame on the football field was eclipsed by his infamy off it, died Wednesday according to his family. He was 76.

Simpson had been battling cancer and had been in hospice. Simpson's attorney also confirmed his death to TMZ.

“On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer,” read a statement posted by Simpson's family on X. “He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.”

Simpson posted a video to his social media accounts in 2021 saying he was jabbed and urged others to get the jab as well. He was not known to have cancer before he received the Covid jab.

Slay News reports that a world-renowned Japanese professor has issued a stunning message to people everywhere, warning that the Covid pandemic was a hoax designed to “drive vaccinations” into the bodies of billions of people worldwide.

The chilling warning was issued by Dr. Masayasu Inoue, MD, PhD, and professor emeritus at Osaka City University Medical School.

According to the respected medical doctor, the “false” pandemic was orchestrated by the United Nations World Health Organization, along with other globalist organizations and global governments.

The professor accuses these entities of an “extreme violation of human rights.”

The doctor argues that the global vaccination agenda was a fraudulent use of “experimental gene therapy” that was pushed onto healthy people.

The United States militarized the premature manufacture and distribution of the vaccines through Operation Warp Speed, which the doctor described as a fraudulent pretext based on the supposed urgency of a pandemic. This sense of public panic, urgency and outright hysteria was needed in order to get a new class of genetic vaccines into people’s bodies before proper testing could be carried out. The bodies of those who received the injections were trained to manufacture a toxic spike protein that collects in bodily tissue and is now causing all sorts of health issues.

The vaccines have been particularly devastating to children and young adults.

He warns that the result of rolling out Covid mRNA vaccines has led to “the induction of the terrible drug-induced injury that has never [been] seen in human history.”

He said new mRNA vaccine factories are now being constructed in his home country of Japan.

Your favorite fast-food restaurant or food company may be reneging on their promise to ditch antibiotics in their meats to keep their products cheap and profitable.

The Trends Journal reports that Tyson Foods and Panera Bread have reversed their pledges over the past year to maintain a no-antibiotics policy in their meat. Chick-fil-A also announced that it will begin allowing some antibiotics to be used despite its 2014 pledge of “no antibiotics ever.”

Tyson Foods made a similar pledge in 2017 but reintroduced some antibiotics last year “based on scientific research and industry learnings.”

Panera Bread has already begun removing signs from locations that state “no antibiotics ever” and “vegetarian fed.” The move is expected to save the company $21 million a year, Al Jazeera reported.

U.S. Public Interest Research Group, a nonprofit, said popular chains like Burger King, Starbucks, Olive Garden, Panda Express, Little Caesars, Domino’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Pizza Hut were all given an ‘F’ for antibiotics and meat, the New York Post reported.

Fortune magazine reports that new research indicates that the youth of today are shying away from white collar desk jobs in favor of skilled trades.

And that means the youngest generation of workers is shunning college – and with it, the prospect of a corporate career and mountains of student loan debt – to take up traditional trades like welding, plumbing, and carpentry.

Enrollment in vocational-focused community colleges rose 16% last year to its highest level since the National Student Clearinghouse began tracking such data in 2018.

What’s more, the same data shows a 23% surge in students studying construction trades in 2023 compared to the year before, and a 7% increase in HVAC and vehicle maintenance and repair programs.

Why the shift?

Mike Rowe, the CEO of MikeRoweWorks Foundation, a charity that challenges stigma and stereotypes against no-degree jobs, told Fox Business:

“People are starting to pay attention. Parents and kids alike are starting to get the message that trade school is an amazing opportunity with just a fraction of the debt—if any at all—and a clear path to something that looks a lot like prosperity.”

A new study from Consumer Reports revealed that a popular kids’ food, Lunchables, contains concerning amounts of lead in its pre-packaged meals.

Consumer Reports tested 12 Lunchable products in a study and discovered that five contained over 50% more lead than California’s legal amount.

Parents have been using Lunchables for decades for quick lunches, but the Consumer Report’s latest revelation might make parents reconsider their decision to feed their children the prepackaged lunch that usually consists of deli meat, cheese, and crackers.

Amy Keating, a dietitian at Consumer Reports, stated, “There’s a lot to be concerned about in these kits. They’re highly processed, and regularly eating processed meat, a main ingredient in many of these products, has been linked to increased risk of some cancers.”

Infowars reports that a 26-year-old transgender Antifa activist from Alabama named Kyle Benjamin Douglas Calvert was arrested this week and charged with illegally possessing and detonating an explosive device outside the state’s Attorney General office in Montgomery.

The Post Millennial Senior Editor Andy Ngô posted about the arrest on X Wednesday, writing, “According to court documents, Kyle Benjamin Douglas Calvert had extensive Antifa propaganda he allegedly used around the time of the bombing. He allegedly made an IED with nails. Calvert is charged with malicious use of an explosive and possession of an unregistered destructive device.”

The indictment claims the suspect “maliciously damaged, and attempted to maliciously damage, by means of fire and explosive materials, the Alabama Attorney General’s Office,” and “knowingly possessed a firearm, to wit: a destructive device… which was not registered to him in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record.”

Police also found Calvert placed stickers on state buildings promoting “Antifa” as well as anti-police and anti-ICE ideology.

Time now for our Worldview Report commentary.

The Biden administration and the legacy media are touting the ATF's new rule governing gun sales as something that “closes the gun show loophole,” but that’s just the narrative, not the reality.

In reality, no such loophole exists, reports the pro-Second Amendment website Bearing Arms.

The site explains:

“Instead, the administration is cracking down on private sales of firearms by broadening the definition of who is ‘engaged in the business’ of selling firearms; a move that could open millions of gun owners to criminal prosecution as well as diverting the ATF from going after real gun traffickers.”

The Reload founder Stephen Gutowski told Bearing Arms in a podcast interview that Second Amendment supporters must counter the spin coming from the likes of Attorney General Merrick Garland, who is among those repeating the gun show loophole lie.

Garland said in a statement:

“Under this regulation, it will not matter if guns are sold on the internet, at a gun show, or at a brick-and-mortar store: if you sell guns predominantly to earn a profit, you must be licensed, and you must conduct background checks. This regulation is a historic step in the Justice Department’s fight against gun violence.”

As Gutowski says, the same rules for gun sales already apply whether that sale takes place at a brick-and-mortar location, a gun show, online, or anywhere else. There is no loophole allowing gun dealers to bypass background checks for purchasers because they're doing business at a gun show, even though there are plenty of media outlets like POLITICO who are mindlessly parroting Garland's claims.

Politico reports:

“The final rule, expected to be submitted Thursday to the Federal Register by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, would eliminate a loophole that has allowed sales of guns without background checks of guns outside of brick-and-mortar stores.”

That's not even close to being accurate. Private sales, no matter where they take place, are not subject to background checks. Commercial sales are, no matter where they happen.

What's changing with the ATF's new rule is who is defined as being “engaged in the business,” and Gutowski says one of the big problems with the new rule is that there isn't a clear definition.

He says:

“To me it seems like more of an attempt to cast a cloud over people selling used guns, to make them think they need a license even if it's not entirely clear they do.”

He adds that:

“The goal here is to have more used sales go through background checks. That's what they want. They want all sales to go through background checks, but they can't do that under current law so they're trying to get as close as they possibly can by either forcing people to get licenses or making people who are selling their used guns think they might need a license.”

How do you know if you need a federal firearms license? You don't. The proposed rule is full of vague and fuzzy language. Which is just perfect for a rogue agency looking to selectively apply the law to its political enemies. Leftist people and groups will be allowed plenty of slack, while conservatives will be placed under a microscope with the goal of prosecuting them.

Should we be surprised at such a move by the Biden regime?

I’d say it’s par for the course.
