Good evening and welcome to the Worldview Report.

Senate Republicans have once again, in stunning fashion, thumbed their noses at President Trump and his 73 million voters by refusing to choose a supporter of the president’s America-first agenda as Senate Majority Leader.

They elected never-Trumper John Thune as the next Senate Majority Leader.

That means President Trump will face an uphill battle getting parts of his agenda through Congress.

Thune has never been a fan of Trump.

Here he is speaking in an interview shortly before the onset of the Republican primaries in which he voiced his desire for someone, anyone, other than Trump to emerge as the Republican nominee for President of the United States.

In opting for Thune as their leader, Senate Republicans rejected public overtures from allies of the President-elect, who backed Senator Rick Scott of Florida for the all-important job.

Thune won in a secret-ballot vote of 29-24, beating out opposing candidates Senators John Cornyn, another Trump-hating Republican from Texas, and Senator Scott.

The 63-year-old Thune will succeed aging Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who has led his chamber's Republicans since 2007 and is the longest-serving Senate party leader in U.S. history.

Thune in many ways is a younger clone of McConnell. It’s often among the first in line to show support for the policies favored by the deep state 3-letter agencies and the military-industrial complex.

The Senate majority leader is one of the most powerful people in Washington – and soon will have an important say over Trump's agenda. 

Thune will have the power to set the schedule for the Senate, which has sole control over confirmation of the Cabinet, about 1,200 other high-level government jobs and a president's judicial nominees.

Thune's win is even more significant because Republicans regained control of the upper chamber in the November 5th election, putting the GOP on track to hold total control over Congress and the White House for the next two years.

But it’s not that simple. Republican control of Congress begs the question: What wing of the Republican Party will hold the power.

With Thune in place, there’s no questions left. It’s the neoconservative, globalist Uniparty that will be able to stall or block Trump’s agenda.

Rick Scott didn't make it past the first round of voting despite having the support of prominent Trump allies including Tucker Carlson, Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.

President-elect Trump filled several posts in his cabinet Wednesday, nominating Matt Gaetz, a fiery Florida GOP congressman and frequent critic of the FBI, as his attorney general, and Tulsi Gabbard, the former Democrat congresswoman from Hawaii, as his director of national intelligence.

The Gaetz nomination in particular had the DC swamp in full panic mode.

Trump announced the Gaetz nomination on Truth Social, calling Gaetz a deeply gifted and tenacious attorney, and he added that “few things are more important than reforming the weaponization of our justice system.”

An unhinged report from MSNBC said the Matt Gaetz nomination for attorney general is “really striking fear in the hearts of career civil servants over there” at the Department of Justice.

Regarding his choice of Tulsi Gabbard for director of national intelligence, Trump stated:

"I know Tulsi will bring the fearless spirit that has defined her illustrious career to our Intelligence Community, championing our Constitutional Rights, and securing Peace through Strength."

Trump’s choice for Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, made a podcast appearance on the Shawn Ryan Show just last week in which he ruffled feathers by saying he did not think women should be in combat roles in the U.S. military.

Trump also announced Wednesday that longtime Florida Senator Marco Rubio will be nominated as his Secretary of State, stating:

“Marco is a highly respected leader and a very powerful voice for freedom. He will be a strong advocate for our nation, a true friend to our allies, and a fearless warrior who will never back down to our adversaries.”

Zero Hedge reports that President-elect Trump plans to move quickly in a bold attempt to keep his campaign promise to immediately negotiate an end to the Russia-Ukraine war upon entering office. Fox News reported Wednesday that toward this end he may soon appoint a Ukrainian peace envoy.

One of several sources told Fox that the appointment will happen “in short order,” and added:

"You're going to see a very senior special envoy, someone with a lot of credibility, who will be given a task to find a resolution, to get to a peace settlement.”

This comes amid the last couple days of new members of Trump's future administration being announced. Many Trump supporters have observed that hawks have filled up key posts so far, with most being known especially for their stridently pro-Israel positions, such as Pete Hegseth, nominated for Defense Secretary, and Congressman Mike Walz for national security advisor. 

Over the weekend a Washington Post report said Trump held his first phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin wherein Trump warned the Russian leader not to escalate in Ukraine. Strangely, the Kremlin is denying that the phone call ever took place.

As for what a potential Trump peace plan for Ukraine might look like, the WSJ days ago revealed that a main option being considered would see a 'freeze' on the war, which to Kiev's dismay would involve "cementing Russia’s seizure of roughly 20 percent of Ukraine" while imposing a 20-year suspension on Ukraine pursuing NATO membership.

Informal Trump adviser Elon Musk responded to a report about that plan on X, writing that "The senseless killing will end soon. Time is up for the warmonger profiteers.”

As for who might be named special envoy for Ukraine peace, it's anyone's guess. Most State Department veterans who have worked on the conflict are neocon war hawks. Thus, Trump is likely to call on someone who is an outsider for his vision of enacting a rapid Ukraine ceasefire. But it would also likely be someone commanding respect and influence among the Ukrainian and Russian sides.

Billionaire Ben Horowitz said in a recent interview that one of the biggest surprises of the 2024 election was how the Amish vote came out for Trump.

The Amish are known as a reclusive sect that does not typically engage in civil affairs. But the Biden-Harris regime was so intent on using the heavy hand of government to oppress the Amish communities that they actually did something they never do. They registered to vote and then they voted.

After years of feminizing the US military through DEI initiatives, a new executive order under consideration by the Trump transition team would establish a "warrior board" of retired senior military personnel which would be granted the power to review three- and four-star officers and recommend any removals of those deemed unfit for leadership.

A draft review of the Executive Order seen by the Wall Street Journal could fast-track generals and admirals found to be "lacking in requisite leadership qualities," given President-elect Donald Trump's past vow to purge woke generals who have promoted diversity among the ranks at the expense of military readiness.

As commander in chief, Trump can fire any officer at will, but an outside board whose members he appoints would bypass the Pentagon’s regular promotion system, signaling across the military that he intends to purge a number of generals and admirals. 

The draft order says it aims to establish a review that focuses “on leadership capability, strategic readiness, and commitment to military excellence.” 

The draft order originated with one of several outside policy groups collaborating with the transition team, and is one of numerous executive orders under review by Trump’s team, a transition official told the WSJ.

The board would send their recommendations to Trump. Those identified for removal would be retired at their current rank within 30 days. 

Karoline Leavitt, the Trump-Vance Transition spokeswoman, who declined to directly comment on the potential executive order, stated:

“The American people re-elected President Trump by a resounding margin giving him a mandate to implement the promises he made on the campaign trail. He will deliver.”

Trump has called for the purging of those he views as failed generals - including those involved in the Biden administration's failed withdrawal from Afghanistan. Trump has previously said he would ask all generals involved in the withdrawal to resign by noon on Inauguration Day.

Nearly a month ago highly classified US intelligence detailing Israeli plans for a retaliation attack against Iran appeared online. The pair of documents were prepared by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, and the leak immediately kicked off a massive federal investigation and hunt for the leaker.

On Wednesday federal prosecutors revealed an arrest, with the NY Times reporting that “The man, Asif W. Rahman, was indicted last week in federal court in Virginia with two counts of willful retention and transmission of national defense information.” 

He had worked for the US government overseas, and is being charged with two counts of violating the Espionage Act. The Times has followed with an update identifying Rahman as a CIA official.

Rahman was apprehended by the FBI in Cambodia on Tuesday, and has been brought to federal court in Guam where he’ll get charged.

The Times added:

“Court documents said Mr. Rahman held a top-secret security clearance with access to sensitive compartmentalized information, which is typical for many CIA employees who handle classified materials.”

It also remains unclear what he was doing in Cambodia at the time of this arrest.

More than a week after the leaks first appeared Israeli media indicated that national decision-makers had delayed the timing of the planned retaliatory attack on Iran due to the leak, given one of the documents detailed Israeli placements and movements of missiles and defensive assets.

The Biden-Harris administration’s U.S. Food and Drug Administration has given the green light to advance a new self-amplifying mRNA injection marketed as a vaccine for bird flu.

The new serum is being developed by Arcturus Therapeutics, a Bill Gates-funded company specializing in mRNA-based pharmaceuticals.

On Monday, the company quietly announced that the FDA approved the company’s Investigational New Drug (IND) application for its ARCT-2304 vaccine.

ARCT-2304 is a self-amplifying mRNA injection targeting the H5N1 avian influenza virus.

The self-amplifying or replicon mRNA shots contain the equipment needed to make more of itself once it enters cells.

The injections have been dubbed replicon vaccines because they are able to self-replicate inside the human body to produce more mRNA over time.

The new technology has provoked a worldwide backlash from experts and concerned citizens.

Japan has just approved the rollout of Covid “replicon” mRNA vaccines for public use.

Japanese citizens fear they are being used as guinea pigs ahead of a global rollout of the injections.

From September 24 to 28, the International Crisis Summit convened in the Japanese capital of Tokyo. The ICS, formerly the International COVID Summit, convened to notify people about the new replicon mRNA vaccines.

Dr. Robert Malone, a co-inventor of mRNA technology, attended the event to meet with experts to discuss the new injections.

Malone shared the details of the Japanese rally he attended that saw 30,000 people speak out against replicon injections.

Time now for tonight’s Worldview Report commentary.

Michael Snyder reports that the U.S. is accusing Russia of preparing to cut undersea cables which carry Internet traffic all over the world.

Interestingly, Russia is accusing Western powers of preparing to do the exact same thing. In some cases, Snyder reports that these undersea cables literally stretch from one continent to another, and so it is impossible to guard them.  

That means they are an extremely vulnerable target, Snyder warns, and it is probably just a matter of time before someone decides to attack them. 

And, Snyder notes in his report, if the undersea cables that connect one global superpower to the Internet get hit, they will probably start cutting key undersea cables that connect their enemies to the Internet. 

Needless to say, he writes, “such a scenario would have the potential to turn apocalyptic very rapidly.”

According to CNN, U.S. officials are warning that there has been increased Russian military activity around key undersea cables.

A U.S. government official told CNN:

"We are concerned about heightened Russian naval activity worldwide and that Russia's decision calculus for damaging US and allied undersea critical infrastructure may be changing. Russia is continuing to develop naval capabilities for undersea sabotage mainly through GUGI, a closely guarded unit that operates surface vessels, submarines and naval drones.”

Let’s not forget that the U.S. and U.K. are already under suspicion for having conducted their own underwater sabotage of critical Russian infrastructure when they allegedly blew up the Nordstream 2 gas pipeline.

And the Russians are suggesting that it is actually the U.S. and the U.K. that are preparing to start attacking undersea Internet cables serving Russia.

An ally of Vladimir Putin has accused the U.S. and the U.K. of intending to sabotage underwater internet cables and planning to destabilize the maritime energy trade.

In reporting the comments by Nikolai Patrushev, the Telegram channel Crimean Wind posted, "it would be funny, but such statements often sound like a cover for their own intentions."

So who is telling the truth?

It’s impossible to know.

But what we do know is that these undersea Internet cables are incredibly important.

They are the physical infrastructure that connects the digital world. Hundreds of fiber-optic cables, some no thicker than garden hoses, are laid out across the ocean floor, enabling the real-time global transmission of data and communications signals. These cables facilitate around 99% of internet traffic as well as the telephone calls, data transfers and other telecommunications that enable modern life to function. 

What would happen if all of the undersea cables connecting a particular country to the Internet suddenly got cut?

Communications would go down.

People would lose access to phone calls, video, messages, and streaming services.

E-commerce would be affected, ATMs would not work, and the stability of financial networks would be at risk.

Power grids, transportation networks, and water networks would be affected.

It could take months to repair the cables.

Snyder concludes:

“Over the past two decades, our entire economy has become exceedingly dependent on the Internet. If we were suddenly cut off from the rest of the globe, there would be widespread economic chaos...”

This is something I’ve been warning about for years. 

All I can say is: Prepare accordingly.
