Guest: Dr. Andy Woods. In this episode of Ask Dr. Wood we ask Dr. Woods the following questions. Question: In John 14:12 Jesus says, "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." What is the meaning of this verse? Question: In Luke 4:5-8 Satan told Jesus that all the authority and glory of the kingdoms of the world had been delivered to him and he can give it to whom he will. John 8:44 says of Satan that there is no truth in him and that he is the father of lies. So, in Luke was he lying or telling the truth? Question: What is meant by having life more abundantly, as described in John 10:10? Defining the abundant life turns up many diverse opinions. Some say it is “eternal life” with others seem to think it refers to being joyful as a Christian while other teach this refers to material blessings. What is the correct Biblical definition of abundant life? Question: Please explain what the Bible teaches in terms of the role of a woman.  I am hearing a wide range of teaching from the same passages (1 Cor. 14:34, 1 Tim 2:11). May she pray publicly or read scripture publicly in a worship service?  What about in a group outside of the church? May she teach scripture to children and other women, but not teenage boys or men?  What about teaching something other than scripture (i.e. English or math)?  Should women have any part of the decision-making process in a church (i.e. voting on a budget or giving input in business meetings) or does scripture teach that only men may participate? Question: Can a true born-again believer ever backslide? Question: What is your view on the hidden message in the genealogy of Noah to Adam in Genesis 5:3-32? Topic: We take your calls.
