Brannon Howse: May 18, 2018
Guest: Dr. Jimmy DeYoung. Topic: Brannon first begins the program by talking about the tragic school shooting leaving ten people dead at the Santa Fe, Texas High School. Brannon wrote about this school district in his 1995 book. A U.S. District federal judge, Samuel B. Kent, ruled that any student who used the name of Jesus in a graduation speech would be arrested by a U.S. Marshall in attendance. Brannon explains how judge Kent went on to be involved in corruption and sexual assault and impeached by the U.S. House before going to federal prison. In 2000, Santa Fe High School was again in the news when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled it illegal for students to be involved in student initiated and student led prayer over the P.A. system before a football game. In 1980, the U.S. Supreme Court made it illegal to post the Ten Commandments in America’s public schools. Topic: Despite the claim of liberals, the issue in Texas was not gun control, but God control. If students are not constrained from within by the teaching of the moral law, as represented in the Ten Commandments, and they are not taught about the consequences of violating the laws of God, and they are taught that man is simply a mistake that evolved from slime, why should we be shocked when a student murders his teachers and classmates? Jimmy DeYoung joins us to discuss these issues. Topic: It's official, the United States Embassy is now in Jerusalem.
