The Troubling Worldview of Neo-Calvinist, Matt Chandler. (Part 1) Description: Matt Chandler and his books are very popular among many so-called evangelical young people, as well as many pastors. How could the worldview of Chandler be impacting that of your pastor, your children, and your grandchildren? A caller into the program last week asked Brannon if he would do this program as well as on David Platt. Today Brannon examines the activities of The Village Church, which is located just outside of Dallas, Texas, of which Matt Chandler is the lead pastor. An article by the Foundation of Ethnic Understanding says that two pastors from the Village Church gathered with other religious leaders at an interfaith event sponsored by FFEU as well as the Islamic Society of North America at the Islamic Center of Frisco. What was the goal of this interfaith meeting? Topic: The Village Church website lists the organization Seek the Peace as one of the groups with which they have a long term relationship. The Seek Peace executive director, Jason Clarke, also has articles on The Village Church Website. The goal of Seek the Peace appears to be to encourage to bring more refugees into America including refugees from Muslim nations. In another article on The Village Church website, Sarah Long tells Christians when engaging with Muslims and talking about Jesus, to do so without carrying an agenda. Pray tell for what other reason would you talk about Jesus with a Muslim unless the agenda was to share the gospel with them? At the conclusion of her article on The Village Church website, Sarah has links to recommended resources. These resources included a link to a website promoting the Yale document that says that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. This is 100% false. Brannon will pick it up here in part two on Understanding the Worldview of Neo-Calvinist, Matt Chandler.
