MCCONNELL, POWELL & IMMIGRATION Chris discusses the case of Pastor James McConnell, the Belfast minister who was prosecuted for speaking against Muslims in the U.K. McConnell has been declared "not guilty" by the court whose ruling (thankfully) came down on the side of free speech. In his sermon, Pastor McConnell made reference to 20th century politician, Enoch Powell, whose famous "Rivers of Blood" speech in 1968 was given as a warning against the massive immigration wave of that time. Powell called it "madness"to allow 50,000 dependents to flow into the U.K. annually and claimed the Brits were preparing their own "funeral pyre."
