Peter LaBarbera is the founder and president of Americans for Truth, a non-partisan, educational group dedicated to exposing the homosexual-bisexual-transgender activist agendas.
Discussion began with news about South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg. The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) said that Buttigieg is, ‘…the first ‘out’ gay candidate to seek democratic nomination for president.’
Jim noted how amazing this is when you consider that the Supreme Court decision deciding so-called same-sex marriage as being a constitutional right (Obergefell v. Hodges decision) was released less than four years ago. Now we have the declared ‘husband’ of Pete Buttigieg (Chasten Glezman) who told a human rights group a week ago that the nation is ready for its first gay president.
Peter described this as, ‘…the very sobering moment for this nation.’ He asked if America is so far gone morally and spiritually that we would elect someone who so openly defies God and not only declares himself homosexual, but preaches on Scripture as a member of the religious left. In spite of that, Peter doesn’t believe we’re that far gone.
For those who believe it’s only his politics that are important, Peter disagrees. He believes that if Buttigieg were to rise to vice-president or president, he would become a very bad role model for the children of America. They will become indoctrinated even further. For example, instead of having a first lady we would have a first husband.
So the question is whether America really is that far gone or is this just a media event that is being pushed?
In an address to the LGBTQ Victory Fund’s annual brunch, Buttigieg communicated that his marriage made him a better man. He then went on to address Vice President Mike Pence by saying that his marriage has moved him closer to God and that if Pence has a problem with who he is, he has a problem, not with Buttigieg, but with his creator.
Peter responded by indicating that Buttigieg is blaming his sin on God therefore he’s the one that has a quarrel with the creator. He admitted that he doesn’t know the circumstances that led Buttigieg to embrace homosexuality but he does know that many people have left the lifestyle so you can’t blame it on God.
For Peter this is the leading, false message that is coming from the religious left, pro-LGBT movement. It’s the pro-gay Christian movement. So now we have Pete Buttigieg, who claims to be a faithful Christian, speaking for God, even though he’s celebrating an egregious sin before God with no push-back from the media.
As this broadcast moved along, Jim and Peter looked at Buttigieg’s views on abortion, his characterization by the media as a centrist, the trend of new LGBTQ political candidates, the Equality Act (HR-5), and LGBTQ news from around the world.
