Crosstalk: August 4, 2017

Christ Jesus said "The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy." Today's Crosstalk brings a WARNING and sadly, a reflection of what this "thief" is doing in a culture of death today.

While some dismiss what is being called "The Blue Whale Challenge" as fake news, suicide rates both nationally and internationally are being linked to this online social media "game." The Blue Whale Challenge
is blamed for hundreds of deaths worldwide and a shocking number here in the US.This "game" leads it's players down a dangerous checklist of "to dos" including jumping off of buildings, being deprived of sleep,
non stop watching of horror films and/or listening to select music, carving (or cutting) their flesh; and the list goes on and on. The objective is to see how far one will go, all the while reporting back and even issuing
photos (selfies) for verification of deed. When a player becomes hesitant, they are reportedly ridiculed and threatened. The game commences with the player actually setting his/her own date "to die."
The online "phenomenon" is named after whales that beach themselves on purpose before they die.

Crosstalk reports that school districts and  police groups are getting involved to help stop this - but clearly, social media has been used to go way too far, and PARENTS MUST AWAKE to protect their children before it is too late. Crosstalk takes your calls and reminds all that Jesus completed His above statement by saying "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)
