Today is the day the electoral college executes their vote. The times of meeting of the electors varies from state to state. As of the time of broadcast, approximately 3/4ths of U.S. state electors had met. Jim was able to report that Michigan and Wisconsin electors affirmed Donald Trump with their electoral votes.

Joining Jim to discuss the vote as well as the war on 'fake news' was Robert Knight. Robert is a senior fellow and policy expert with the American Civil Rights Union. He served as a journalist for 15 years, 7 as an editor and writer with the Los Angeles Times. He is a regular weekly columnist for the Washington Times, Townhall.com and OneNewsNow.com. He's held senior positions with the Heritage Foundation, Family Research Council, Concerned Women for America, Media Research Center and Coral Ridge Ministries.

Robert said he couldn't recall a time when the electoral voters have been under such pressure to change their votes from what the people empowered them to do. In spite of the pressure, he feels they'll ignore the threats. In the end, Congress will meet in a joint session on January 6th to count the electoral votes with Inauguration Day taking place on January 20th.

Vladimir Putin of Russia has been blamed for interfering in the election leaving the impression that the Russians hacked our election system. Robert indicated that can't happen because our election system is very decentralized with unconnected voting machines in every precinct. WikiLeaks has reported that Russia is not the source of the leaks but the media seems to be ignoring that because it doesn't fit their narrative. Robert feels this is one way the media skews the news and creates propaganda. It's through omission. Key facts are left out to communicate an impression that isn't true.

Instead what's been suggested is that an inside leak from the DNC, perhaps involving someone that was disgruntled, was responsible for the release of e-mails that were very damning to a number of Democrat officials. The e-mails allegedly discussed how to swing the election their way while also disparaging Catholics and evangelicals.

Also working against the Democrats were sting operations by James O'Keefe and Project Veritas, where Democrat officials were caught telling how to commit voter fraud and how they had done it by using cars instead of buses.

Robert believes these examples make the entire 'fake news' movement a 'fake war' that is actually part of the left's war on integrity as it seeks to de-legitimize Donald Trump's victory.
