Vic Eliason manned the controls during this first edition of Crosstalk for the new year and kicked things off with a news and commentary program. Stories included: --President Obama and the Democrats have touted the fact that he has issued fewer executive orders than almost all of his predecessors. However, a difference must be made between executive orders and presidential memorandums. --On Christmas Eve, religious police in Brunei ordered business owners to remove Christmas decorations or face arrest. --The Trans Pacific Partnership is being negotiated by the Obama administration. This would establish a precedent for accepting Shariah religious persecution under international laws.
