Crosstalk: July 22, 2015

While some children head off to summer camp to have their Christian worldview enhanced, other kids end up attending camps that emphasize a secular or humanist worldview. Children's television program host Bill Nye has even chastised parents for teaching Creation to children. Some individuals have even gone so far as to compare the teaching of Creation to child abuse. In an effort to strengthen the Christian worldview of children, Crosstalk welcomed Craig Froman to Crosstalk. Craig is a curriculum writer as well as assistant editor at New Leaf Publishing Group. He is author of 'Passport to the World' produced by Master Books, the recently released, 'The Children's Atlas of God's World' as well as a contributing editor for 'The Big Book of Earth and Sky'. 'The Big Book of Earth and Sky' is basically a 15 foot chart that looks at the earth from its inner core to its outer atmosphere as it examines the ocean zones, the Flood, the resulting fossil layers, the fastest bird, caves and cave creatures, how coal is formed, volcanoes, tornadoes and much more. This book brings the Bible and science together in a fun and fascinating way that testifies to the glory of God. While 'The Children's Atlas of God's World' concentrates on 22 countries, it gives interesting insights into Christian history such as how every country has a Christian heritage. Craig proved this by explaining how this is true even in Saudi Arabia where it's believed that one of the first Christian church buildings has been found. You'll also learn about God's design for the ecosystem, the unfolding of great civilizations, Christian explorers, the wonders of earth's 7 continents such as the longest rivers, the tallest mountains and more.
