Crosstalk: June 10, 2019

Below is a sample of stories from this week’s edition of the ‘Round-Up’:

–Former Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor was sentenced to 12-1/2 years in prison in the shooting death of Justine Ruszczyk.

–A Minnesota man who threw a 5 year old boy over a third floor balcony at the Mall of America earlier this year has been sentenced to prison.

–A former deputy sheriff who hid rather than enter a Florida school and confront a gunman who killed 17 was arrested and charged Tuesday with neglecting children and committing perjury.

–Senator Elizabeth Warren claims that climate change is a bigger threat to the American way of life than the enemies the Allied forces faced in WWII.

–A suspect described as a ‘lone wolf’ was arrested yesterday in connection with a plan to throw explosives at people in Times Square in New York City.

–The U.S. Navy said one of its warships was forced to maneuver to avoid a collision with a Russian destroyer today in the Philippine Sea.

–The Washington Supreme Court has ruled against the florist who was fined for not providing services for a homosexual couple’s wedding.

–For the first time in the history of Wisconsin, Governor Tony Evers has ordered the gay pride flag to be flown above the state capitol building until June 30.

During the second quarter hour, Mat Staver from Liberty Counsel joined Jim as listener attention turned to one specific subject centering on Madison, Wisconsin.  School administrators allowed a male science teacher in the Madison Metropolitan School District to show a personal, transgender, ‘coming out’ video to every class of K-5th grade children at Allis Elementary School.

There was no warning that this was about to take place, therefore Mat believes this is a violation of the rights of the students and the parents.  He communicated that Liberty Counsel has issued a public records request and they will be going to the school board.
