Crosstalk: June 3, 2020

Robert Knight is a former Los Angeles Times news editor and writer and was a media fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.  He’s a regular weekly columnist for The Washington Times, Townhall.com, OneNewsNow.com and others.  Robert has held senior positions at the American Civil Rights Union, the Family Research Council, the Culture and Family Institute at Concerned Women for America, the Heritage Foundation, Coral Ridge Ministries and the Media Research Center.  He has co-authored three books and written 10 others including, ‘The Coming Communist Wave: What Happens if the Left Captures All Three Branches of Government’ and ‘Liberty on the Brink: How the Left Plans to Steal Your Vote.’

The Daily Signal recently reported the Heritage Foundation’s election fraud database and so far 1,285 proven instances of voter fraud have been documented.  Jim noted that this database is far from being comprehensive but is more representative in that it demonstrates the vulnerabilities in our election system and the ways in which fraud is committed.

How should we view this as people look at the current environment in America, an environment that appears to be an organized ‘takedown’ of the nation?  It means that your vote in the upcoming presidential election is critical to our nation’s health.

On that point, Jim had Robert talk about the following:

–What’s at stake in the upcoming election?

–Why is the electoral college preferable to a national popular vote?

–According to Robert, what is the easiest way to commit vote fraud?

–Can conservatives ‘harvest’ ballots?

–Is our nation at a pivotal point and what might that mean for Christianity?

After Robert’s perspective on these questions was presented, Jim took calls from Crosstalk listeners.
