Brad Mattes is the president and CEO of Life Issues Institute, the pro-life grassroots partner of the Susan B. Anthony List Education fund headquartered in Cincinnati.  Life Issues Institute was co-founded by pro-life pioneer Dr. John Wilke and Brad in 1991 to serve the educational needs of the pro-life movement. Brad is also president of the International Right to Life Federation and a frequent international speaker and lecturer on abortion and related life issues.

Concerning the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision released last Tuesday, Brad indicated that the court upheld part of the Indiana law signed by then Governor Mike Pence that would require that the bodies of any aborted babies receive the respect we give to the remains of any human.  

The court, however, did not take on the part of the law that would have stopped any abortion considered a discrimination abortion based upon the baby’s sex, race or because the baby has Down Syndrome.

Legislation from various states was also discussed.  On the specific issue of Illinois, Jim presented audio from from the impassioned plea given on the floor of the Illinois legislature by pregnant State Representative Avery Bourne.  Audio was also played of a prayer from Pastor Cory Musgrave of New Beginnings Church. His prayer on the floor of the Illinois legislature called for judgment on the state for the destruction of the unborn.
