The Character of Jesus: Narrowness, part 2 Do you think the Bible teaches it’s wrong to judge others, to point out where they might be getting off track with God? Jesus had no problem with it. It was all part of his discernment, his “narrowness.” Today, we continue looking at a character trait of Jesus, of which our world today does not think very highly, and that’s “narrowness.” Jesus was NOT broad-minded about everything, like hypocrisy. It’s too easy to use the “don’t judge” scripture verse as a weapon. But if you really think about, we all scrutinize and evaluate and “judge” people and things. The point is to do it for the right reasons and in the right way. “Tolerance” is the mantra of society these days. But that certainly does NOT describe our Lord Jesus Christ. His ministry was quite the opposite.
