Instructions for Discipleship | 1 Thessalonians 3:1-13 | Part 1 Our message today is called “Instructions for Discipleship,” which Paul is giving to the church in Thessalonica in this, his first letter to those believers. The Church, the Body of Christ, is not going to grow without discipleship and without working toward a fruitfulness of our faith as witnessed in the encouraging changed lives of others. All too often we think our social interactions with the person we want to disciple, being a “friend,” is enough, but this doesn’t get to the heart of the matter – and that’s asking, “How is your relationship with Jesus?” That’s our theme today.
