The baptism of the Holy Spirit places all who believe in Jesus into a new community. We join a new family of fellowship with those who are also indwelt with the Holy Spirit–evidence of our new birth in Christ. But some think the baptism of the Spirit is a special anointing which is marked by speaking in tongues. Let’s sort out the issue with Scripture.
