Today on PTIB Jimmy DeYoung will have a conversation with Winkie Medad on the passing of one of modern-day Israel's founding fathers, Shimon Peres. Jimmy and Winkie will discuss the fact that the life of Peres was a part of the 68 year history of the nation; he was a political leader, holding each of the leadership roles in the Israeli government over the years, the last being the role of President of Israel; he was the director of the agency that became the nuclear program of the Jewish state; also the architect of the Oslo Accords, the peace treaty between Israel and the Palestinians; and world leaders came to honor Peres at his funeral last week.
