Sometimes, fairy tales explain life better than the real thing. In this week's boralogue, John tells the story of two rabbits, Flip and Flop, who live in the Hundred Headache Wood and attempt to navigate the road of inconsistencies and contradicting values in order to live a happy, happy, happy life. But when logic and reason enter the picture, their world is turned upside down.
Fresh off of many speeches at a Pennsylvania conference last weekend, John reached out to a millenial pastor while he was there. Matt Robinson (www.goodsoil.com), Pastor at Chambersburg Bible Church, examines how we reach across the generational divide and educate millenials who are clearly not getting their biblical education elsewhere.
Following up with millenial communication, John welcomes Caroline Lewis (www.carolineclewis.com), writer and owner of Percipio Communications, who discusses ways to bridge the language barrier and find common ground with those who are likely well-meaning but going about change in a way that will be detrimental in the future.
Producer Steve takes over the microphone for a segment, interviewing Dr. Timothy Jennings (www.comeandreason.com), President of Come and Reason Ministries, who examines the history of the war between faith and science and how the two often actually complement each other.
John and Producer Steve finish up this week analyzing the crumbling Trump-Russia collusion narrative and the media scramble to find a new talking point, and why we should take the ridiculous Green New Deal seriously – with a different Congressional makeup, this could become a reality.
John’s quote of the week:
"Our mission statement is always the same. We are to snatch people from the fire, to save souls, and to retrieve people from a world that is winding down until its ultimate dissolution. We are to call the lost. That mission statement has never changed."
