John Loeffler: June 29, 2015
he elimination of racism was supposed to have begun five decades ago, but it seems stronger than ever today. Why is that? In the boralogue this week, John looks at contradictions put forth from the power elites and asks the question, What happens when were subjected to false narratives? Those that used to preach dont push your views on other people are doing nothing but that now. Freedom of speech for everyone now pertains to politically correct speech only. Big government used to be abhorrent, but now its all the rage. Amidst all these contradictions, the ability to debate an issue that the politically correct declare as settled is stymied at every turn. As a result, our freedoms are gradually deteriorating: freedoms that were established long before our country was founded. On June 15, we celebrated the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta at Runnymede by King John of England. To contrast the many journalists and commentators who have recently been downplaying the importance of the Great Charter, we welcome back to the program Avi Davis (www.americanfreedomalliance.org), President of the American Freedom Alliance. He shows how the Magna Carta influenced the writings of the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution and established the freedoms that people have enjoyed throughout the Anglosphere. Deprived of their freedom and often their lives, Christians around the world are being persecuted at an alarming rate. Johnnie Moore (www.defyingisis.com), Vice President for Faith Content at Lightworkers Media, shares his experiences in the Middle East and identifies ISIS as the most serious threat to Christians in Iraq in thousands of years. In the midst of sparse news coverage on persecution, he advocates praying for the victims and encouraging local and national leaders to combat the problem. Internet access affects virtually every aspect of personal and professional life, so maintaining internet openness and security is imperative. Craig Parshall (www.aclj.org), Special Counsel to the American Center for Law and Justice, examines the Obama administrations plan to cede control of the Internet to a private, non-profit group called ICANN. This group operates in secret, independent of U.S. veto power, has the authority to shut down the internet should a catastrophe arise, and has been meeting with leaders from anti free-speech countries.
