Wayne Shepherd welcomes us to a very special edition of “Encounter God’s Truth”—a weekly outreach of Whitcomb Ministries.
The week ahead includes the final day of October and the first day of November. Thus, we take time to consider the significance of “Two Fall Holidays.” These are Reformation Day, which is October 31, and Thanksgiving, which we will celebrate together all throughout the month of November.
The Reformation involved the rediscovery of Biblical truth that had been all but forgotten—beginning with a new emphasis on the gospel. Dr. Whitcomb compares this to the rediscovery of creation truth in the modern Biblical creation movement. His comments come from the 50th anniversary of the groundbreaking creationist book, “The Genesis Flood.”
We also consider Thanksgiving—focusing on the account of Jesus healing 10 lepers.
We hope that this program will be a real encouragement to you and will remind you that God’s Word is true from the beginning to the end—as reflected through these “Two Fall Holidays.”
