The Sinner's Prayer and Baptizing Children
The Danger of the Sinner’s Prayer and Baptizing Children: The Southern Baptist Convention has recently reported that the only growing segment of baptisms is for children under the age of five. Could this be because churches have turned being baptized into entertainment including a baptismal that is built to look like a fire truck? On today’s program Brannon explains why having children recite a sinner’s prayer, walk the aisle, and then get baptized has created scores of false converts. Brannon speaks as one that recited a sinner’s prayer at five and was baptized at age seven but only became a true believer until he was an adult. How should the gospel be presented to children, what is the age of accountability, and what should be the test for a student being baptized? Watch this week’s addition of the Worldview Weekend Hour for the answer to these questions and more.
