Dominion Theology: Similarity Number Fourteen Between the False Church of Nazi Germany and Today’s Growing False Global Church

By Brannon S. Howse

Hitler was obsessed with globalism, and I believe Satan was using Hitler to build his global kingdom. The Third Reich was a forerunner of the Fourth Reich, which will be led by the Antichrist. The religious Reich will have a form of godliness but will deny the power of godliness.

Hitler was Satan’s man for that generation, but he failed because it was not the appointed time. Someday, however, God will allow Satan to carry out his plan until God destroys the devil’s kingdom for good and throws him in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10).

Dominion theology is embraced by many of the world’s false religions. While each wants to be the one in control, it appears that most false religions are working together for a shared goal and will work out the details of who is in charge later. However, we know from Revelation 17:1, that the ecumenical harlot will achieve some level of world dominion before being devoured by the Antichrist and his world assistants in Revelation 17:15-16. Once this happens, a new world religion centering on worship of the Antichrist takes the place of the once great harlot and false church. The Antichrist, possessed by Satan, then has world dominion for a season.

Dominion theology, though, has a different take on the process, one embraced by the New Apostolic Reformation, the Word of Faith Movement, Mormonism, the New Age Movement, and some members of the New Religious Right. Many believe they are building the kingdom of God on earth, right now. This is completely unbiblical thinking, as Jesus Himself declares in John 18:36: “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”

Furthermore, in Luke 18:8, Jesus reveals that world dominion by true Christians through political activism is not going to occur. In fact, this verse reveals that the New Religious Right, Neo-evangelicals, the religious left, the cults, New Agers, Mormons, and Roman Catholics are building the opposite of the truth faith. Speaking of His Second Coming, Jesus says:

"And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"

This verse refutes the dominion theology teaching that Christians will evangelize the whole earth, take political power, take the world stage, and usher in the kingdom of God. No! During the tribulation, true believers will be persecuted and killed as apostasy and hatred of God will fill the earth under the coming religious Reich. This is why Jesus asks the questions about finding the faith on the earth. Only a small remnant will be following Christ when He returns—not the whole world that has ushered in His kingdom as dominion theology, reconstructionism, Kingdom Now theology, or postmillennialism falsely teaches.

No one is building God’s kingdom here on earth because His kingdom “is not of this world” and “is not from here.” So whose kingdom are these misguided folks building? Knowingly, or unknowingly, they are building the kingdom of Satan that will be ruled by him through the Antichrist.
